Fun day. I think my favorite story of the day, which I'm gonna like save to really kind of break down the significance of how life-changing it is for the player is Chwalinska. I thought it was Chwalinska. Oh, you too?
**Mike** (1:59)
No, the, Chwalinska, obviously.
**Andy Roddick** (2:01)
Chwalinska, okay. Because yesterday it was Chwalinska. Because we're in North Carolina, Sean.
**Mike** (2:05)
It's, yeah.
**Andy Roddick** (2:06)
Got it.
**Mike** (2:07)
We had the pronunciation at our fingertips. We didn't do it.
**Andy Roddick** (2:11)
Hi, my name is Maja Chwalinska. For as much, I gotta tell you.
**Mike** (2:16)
It's on us.
**Andy Roddick** (2:16)
I gotta tell you, Bruce, for as much as you loathe the WT website, that feature is a good one.
**Mike** (2:23)
You know what, I probably-
**Andy Roddick** (2:23)
This one is a good one. It is our fault.
**Mike** (2:25)
I probably couldn't get that box to close. Yeah.
Jon does. Yeah.
**Andy Roddick** (2:31)
Did you have to enter a sweepstakes to hear her pronounce her name? I think we did. I feel like anytime you try to get any stat, you have to enter a sweepstakes.
**Mike** (2:39)
Yeah. Oh my gosh.
**Andy Roddick** (2:41)
Chwalinska over Colin Skaja. We're going to dig into more about how life-changing that is for Chwalinska. There's some really inspiring stories that have come out about that. Shnaider versus Sabalenka.
This was unlike anything I've seen from Aryna, really. It just feels like there's...
Listen, you don't ever have to really wonder what Aryna is thinking. She'll tell you. She told us in the press conference. I don't know that I want to play tennis anytime soon. I don't know if we have that. Do we have that audio?
**SPEAKER_1** (3:25)
Yeah. What are your thoughts and emotions after today's match?
**Andy Roddick** (3:29)
No thoughts, no emotions. Just want to quit tennis right now, but we'll see. We'll see in a few days. Hopefully, I'll get back on track mentally. One, she's number one in the world. She's won a bunch of slams. She's been the most dominating figure, and she's been number one for at least two and a half years.
Not total, but straight, right? So before we kind of question where someone's at, we need to acknowledge where they've been. So she's been unbelievable. The last five or six years, her consistency in Grand Slams, dating back to like 2023, which till then was like people were still questioning, is she mentally tough enough? Is she, you know, there were some narratives there that she had erased. Okay, so let's let that live and she's a Hall of Famer. She's better than 99% of the people plus that will criticize her for today. And I don't know that I've ever seen her fade out of a match like that in my life.
A set in 4-1 and then she was actually, I mean...
**Mike** (4:42)
She was up 31
**Andy Roddick** (4:43)
31 and then she lost a couple of points and it was like visibly frustrated. Like she was ready to tick, ready to kind of check out and then it went so fast from there. I mean, when it went sideways, it went sideways and there was no kind of, okay, you let this get away. Let's dig back in. There was no commitment to pain, commitment to maybe an allowance or a patience for yourself.
