SaaStr 878: We Doubled Revenue with Agents. Here's Exactly How. (The Agents #014)

The Official SaaStr Podcast: SaaS | Founders | Investors

September 18, 2026

In the last 12 months, SaaStr went from a contact form and a generic follow-up email to a fully agentified revenue stack spanning inbound, outbound, and renewals. The result? Revenue doubled, new business is up 60%, and renewals are already 60% ahead of last year, with six more months to go.

Hello, everybody, in the SaaStr AI community, we have a very special episode of The Agents today.

We talk a lot about our agents, what we've learned, what's going on with our 21 plus AI agents and AI for go-to-market. But a lot of you want a deep dive on how it all really works on our side, especially with 10K, our AI VP of revenue. We did a bit of this live at SaaStr AI Annual in May. It was good, but I think it was a lot to process. But go back and watch that one, too, if you have time. Today, we're going to slow it down, and Amelia is going to show you live and walk you through pretty much how we've delivered the results we have, the actual inputs and outputs, and walk you through 10K, our AI VP of revenue live, and we'll chat about the learnings that come out of that.

Let's start here. We're three humans, 21 agents, but how's it all worked? For the last year, we've had 20 to 30 plus agents helping SaaStr, me, Jason, we've built a lot of them ourselves, but really, how's it all worked? And so we wanted to give you guys an update and a deep dive of, is it all working? What are the numbers? What are the results? And then how did we get there? Since the headline here may be being that, yes, it has worked in just the last 12 months, we've doubled our sponsorship revenue. There's a lot of reasons why that may even go up in the next six months and the run up to the next SaaStr AI annual. But I wanted to give you guys an overview of not only the numbers but everything that's worked, hasn't worked, inbound, outbound, what we're doing for every leave from all three stages of the funnel, whether it's inbound, outbound, or renewals, and give you guys a deep dive into the systems, how to do it and how you could recreate this yourself if you wanted to and actually just get a sense of what's not working at SaaStr today. So you're listening to the Official SaaStr AI Podcast, brought to you by...

Let's dive in. Let's start with the numbers. In the last year, we've doubled sponsorship revenue, and a lot of that is where our agents are concentrated. I did another version of our stack I'll go into in a second here, which is down below, because I wanted to show folks four things specifically that we've been building, where we've been spending most of our time. I would say for myself personally, and where Jason spent a lot of his time as well, a lot of what we've done has been focused on the sponsorship, so maybe the bigger ACV side of SaaStr versus tickets. We don't spend as much time and agents on tickets now. They may change in the next couple of weeks now that a lot of this can be on autopilot when it comes to sponsorships, but a lot of it has been towards this kind of higher ACV product, if you will, that we have, and we have multiple product lines, and that we have sponsorships, and then we also have media.
