Hey Earth Rangers, guess what? Tomorrow might just be the most important day of my life. The day I've been training three years for. Tomorrow is the start of the Go Green Race. Never heard of it? Okay, let me explain. The Go Green Race is an around-the-planet race for people who care deeply about the environment and the Earth. People like me will explore new places, solve puzzles, do exciting quests and of course, travel in the greenest ways possible, all while learning about animals and plants. And whoever makes it all the way back to Toronto after completing the race wins a big prize and a trophy.

I'm so excited.

Earth Rangers, Earth Rangers, Earth Rangers.
SPEAKER_2 (1:29)
I'm just about to head inside and do one final check on all the things I need for my trip, since I'm about to leave in less than 24 hours. What's that? Oh no, Earth Rangers. It looks like there's a robin stuck in a cedar tree in my yard. Oh, it's way up there, near the top. It's just flapping and freaking out, and oh no, it can't seem to fly away. Well, there's only one thing to do. Save this robin. Let's see. Hmm, it's super high up, so I'll need a ladder and something to protect my hands. Gardening gloves should work. Let's head to the shed.
I've got my gloves. And, oh, there's the ladder. Oh, wow, it's a little heavy. And old, it used to be my granddad's.
Well, it's not in great shape, but it'll have to do, because it's all I have right now. You know, I think the last time I used this ladder was with my sister Olivia, when we saved some sparrows from the gutter on our roof. I wish she was here right now. She has a way with birds. But no worries, I've got this. Okay, I'll just place the ladder here and start climbing up. Whoa, whoa, the Robin is really up high. Whoa, whoa, this ladder is kind of shaky. I gotta hang on tight. Just a couple more steps and...
SPEAKER_5 (3:33)
There he is.
SPEAKER_3 (3:34)
Hello, little Robin.
SPEAKER_2 (3:37)
Oh, I see what's happened. Earth Rangers, it looks like he has some string wrapped around his foot. Here, hold still, little guy, and I'll see if I can get you untangled. Oh, man, that's really knotty. I bet he was gathering this string to help build a nest. Earth Rangers, did you know that Robins make cup-shaped nests out of things they find outside? That's why it's important to keep your yard free from any garbage an animal can get its paws or claws on. Oh, oh, oh, oh, I know, I know, I know this is scary, little guy. You don't know me, but I'm Earth Ranger Emma. I love all creatures, so you're in good hands. Believe it or not, I once traveled around the world with an owl, so you can say I'm a friend to birds. Uh-oh, that wasn't a good sound. Better work fast. Oh, no, no, no, don't worry, don't worry. I'm not gonna leave you up here. There's just one more knot and I think we've got this bird untangled. Fly free, little Robin. That was a lot of work, Earth Rangers, but totally worth it. Sometimes we can help another creature. You just have to be careful and...
Oh, ow.
SPEAKER_6 (5:04)
Ow, ow, ow, ow.
SPEAKER_2 (5:06)
Earth Rangers, um, I fell off the ladder. My leg is definitely hurt. I better get into the house and get some ice on this. Oh, no, no, I can't stand. Oh, no, oh, my leg feels awful. Okay, I'm going to call for help.
