Some things are hard to put into words. You start a show with two of your friends, thinking it'll be one thing, and somehow it grows into something you never could have imagined. So I'd like to introduce you to The Pivot Sports Show. I'll always be grateful for what this podcast became after ESPN let me go. It gave me a place to tell my story, a place that felt safe. And eventually, it's given me something even bigger, a platform to do what I love most, talk football. Man, what a ride it's been. Just a week ago, we announced our deal with Netflix, and the support has been overwhelming. And now, as Freddy T so perfectly put it, we got two shows, one for the phone and one for at home. All right, so we stole that from Gates. Today we're talking the Pivot Sports Show, Netflix, and Arch Manning's big day and huge comeback against Ohio State. We slide down to Baton Rouge because LSU might be the new Colorado. We talk Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese's relationship and Caitlin Clark's answer. And why I say she's really always been solid. I was asked to do Hyrox, but now since I know people are pooping themselves, I probably won't and we'll finish on people who are married, but rather not have sex. And listen, just because we got two shows, that does not mean that Channing is changing. I know I say it every show, but thank you for continuing to pivot with us because we love y'all and we don't take any of this for granted. So welcome to a rare Tuesday three man week. It's just me, Chan, and Freddy T, talking about some of the things happening in our world with the people we love most.
Well, I guess the cat's off the bag.
Yeah, it is. Welcome to The Pivot, Pivot fam. This is Channing Crowder, this is Fred Taylor. I am Ryan Clark, and this is not The Pivot Sports Show. This is just The Pivot. Pivot fam, thank y'all for pivoting with us. Fellas, I mean, I want to say this to both of you. I got to tell Fred, man, thank you both from the bottom of my heart. Y'all know what doing that job meant to me, and the people that got to see me do it. Y'all know what Mondays meant to me.
I know it's a sacrifice.
Both of you guys have younger kids than me to be in. The day before we shoot and study and be up late and be here early in the morning, like it was, it meant the world to me that we got to sit here and do it our way today. We tried it before, and this time, it's us, we've added Freddy T, man, so I just think it's going to be a really cool deal, what we get to do. True statement, Freddy T, be real. Did you think we could pull it off in this amount of time?
Fred Taylor (3:01)
You know what, I totally thought it was, it was whichever direction you wanted to go with it, much like the text I sent you a couple days ago, you gotta have the courage to be able to want to go out there and create something, believe in something, then be able to take a step forward to make it come to fruition.
You gotta start there, but then to follow through, to be able to witness it. You know, the conversation with Chan, behind the scenes, in the car ride, when we go from show to airport or whatever, those conversations with Alicia and it was just that, that, that, pivot, pivot, pivot, how we gonna build and make it come to fruition. So whether I believe it or not, it's here. And, you know, in the tone, my best, Kevin Gates, not even voice, but in the tune or the sounds of Kevin Gates, we got two shows, watch on the phone or watch it at home. Yeah. I mean, it is what it is, so.

I like it.
Fred Taylor (4:03)
I got some more to that, too, now.

I like it.

I doubted it, because of how big, especially when we started explaining it to us and we did the rehearsal. And I was like, oh, this is, this ain't GoPros.
This is an NFL film studio. Like when you were talking about it and bringing it up and the expansions and all. And then when I saw that, I was like, oh, okay, this is, this is, that's when I knew it was going to be something. Before that, I thought it was, you know, some patchwork stuff, to be honest. But the funny thing is that we always tell people like, post-career, like put that, I've said it a hundred times, you work so hard to make it to the league, any league, any professional sport, even college guys. Put that same passion into something else. A lot of people don't do it. I say, that's what you do. But this media stuff, with the love that you have for it, you act like this is leading up to the Super Bowl, every single show.
