This is Reception Perception, The Show. Now, James Koh and Matt Harmon.

Can we start with KC Concepcion? Six foot, six foot up, 196 pounds. He ran a four, four, 40 He's got four, four, 40 speed, however you want to put that. And he also had a 37 inch vertical. So, two years at NC State, last year at Texas A&M. This guy has never had a thousand yard season collegiately, but Matt, this guy's routery right now, my goodness gracious.
We're talking about a guy that's getting open all over the field.

**Matt Harmon** (0:35)
Yeah.
I'm going to spoil this right off the top. This is my guy this year. This is my guy this year.

**James Koh** (0:45)
Loving man.

**Matt Harmon** (0:46)
The player that even early on charting his film and everything, I was like, I'm going to try to be really high on this guy, higher than ConsenSys. I feel like I'm going to be able to accomplish that by where I have him ranked relative to the other prospects that I've charted so far and have completed so far. To me, you mentioned, yes, none of the guys in this class are elite prospects. We've already covered that and that was my early thoughts on the class that has remained true. What I mean by an elite prospect is essentially like, I know he hasn't been great in the NFL, but Marvin Harrison Jr., that was an elite receiver prospect. Jamar Chase, that was an elite receiver prospect. Malik Neighbors, elite receiver prospect. Even guys like in the 2022 class, Garrett Wilson, Drake London, Chris Olave, to me, Devonte Smith, that's some of my tier one receiver prospects that's come into league last year. I also had Roma Dunze in that tier.
I wouldn't put anybody in this class in that grouping necessarily. However, I think tier two, generally how I be receivers, how I have the stacked ranking set up on receptionperception.com. I think there's going to be a bevy of guys in competing, at least for that tier two designation. One of them is KC Concepcion. I think this guy is a stud. I think he is a really good player who can do a ton of different things, can win in a variety of different ways. The route chart is incredible. Wins at all three levels.
He's just always open, obliterates man press coverage. You mentioned he weighed in at 196 pounds, six foot at the NFL scouting combine. Great to see that because then he's not, I was afraid like, is he going to be one of these Elijah Moore types, Josh Downs, even Jayden Reed. I actually think there are some with the way they play with the ball in their hands, some saminess archetype wise to Jayden Reed.
But at the same time, those guys are all smaller than six foot 196 pounds. This is good size for a player like this. So even just checking that box right there was really big for me to rank him very highly in this draft class.

**James Koh** (3:09)
So again, let's just get into some of these RP scores. Nearly an all green route tree. I mean, if you talk about what this guy does well, it's easier to talk about what he doesn't do well. And that was the comeback route, which by the way, 1.7% route participation, right? So like, it's not like he threw, it's not like he's running a bunch of these routes here. Okay, like that number probably flips if he gets a couple of different, you know, successful routes, a couple more routes there in that regards. But we're talking about nearly an all green route tree.

**Matt Harmon** (3:43)
Yeah, the all green route tree does not mean anything. You know, I mean, I know it gets like attention on social media. It's not like it's, oh, well, this is something we got. Yeah, we're talking about four routes.
Ran over the course of the sample. Four of them were comeback routes to two success. That's the 50% to successful to unsuccessful comeback routes. Yeah, he wins one or two. You flip one, maybe two. Great. Congratulations. It doesn't really matter. You know, like guys that have had full green routes, it's like, oh, this is a real bit. It's not a big indicator. It doesn't actually mean anything, especially when we're talking about small sample sizes on these certain routes. So, yeah, I mean, it's just as impressive with one route being read versus others.
We're not completing a coloring book here. We're talking about football.

**James Koh** (4:30)
When I watch him play Concepcion, to me, he's got a little freaky twitch to him. You know what I mean? Like, this guy's got some real movement skills that you're like, okay, this is really interesting. And then you stack that on top of the fact that he can get open.
