This is Reception Perception The Show. Now, James Koh and Matt Harmon.

Jordyn Tyson is another wide receiver that we can have an extended conversation with, because again, there's a lot to like, and then there's just one major issue that's holding him back. He's 6'2, 203 pounds. He's done no on-field testing. Why?
We'll get to the issue early, because of injuries. He only played one full-ish season over his last four years. He's never completed a full season. He tore his ACL, MCL, PCL. So a major knee injury in 2022
That limited his 2023 In 2024, he broke a clavicle. In 2025, he had hamstring injuries and missed four games. Again, he has missed games almost every, or he has missed games every single year. And again, Matt did not do on field testing at the combine or his pro day because of these injury concerns. We're talking about a hamstring he injured back in November. Now he's still feeling like he maybe had a setback or, or whatever it might be, but not good. When you have a hamstring injury in November, can't do on field testing at the combine or pro day. Or even, I mean, even at your pro day, we're talking weeks later, not good enough to run. That's tough, man. The injuries are a big time concern.

**Matt Harmon** (1:31)
Yeah.
I was told very early on in the process that he might not do any work pre-draft. He was not going to use, not going to end up testing pre-draft. Now he might do some, he might run some routes for scouts closer to the NFL draft. That's great. I think that'd be great to see. Here's the deal though, to not have any athletic testing going into the process. Look, I'm obviously a big trust the tape guy, the whole deal, whatever. But let me just bring up two examples of guys who did not do anything pre-draft from a workout perspective. Marvin Harrison Jr., Corey Davis, two guys I'm sure there have been others. Those are two guys that obviously were picked fourth and fifth in the NFL draft. You think some folks don't maybe wish they had a 40-yard dash on Marvin Harrison Jr., maybe don't wish they had a... I know nobody does the damn three cone anymore, which is a shame.
But yeah, don't wish... You think there's some folks that don't wish they had some athletic testing on Marvin Harrison Jr.? Corey Davis, a guy that was dominant at Western Michigan, went fifth in the NFL draft, never did anything pre-draft. That's almost insane to think back on it. To be like, man, we just greenlit a Western Michigan prospect to be fifth overall in the draft with zero athletic testing. A little aggressive in hindsight, don't we think? So that's what I'm saying. Obviously, I watch Jordyn Tyson playing, and I'm like, damn, he looks plenty athletic to me.
I thought the same thing about Harrison. I thought the same thing about Corey Davis. You just kind of wish you got that, and that's a data point that you're not going to get. Because yeah, as you mentioned, it is March 25th as we are taping this, and he is still not over a hamstring injury that happened during the season. And I think dogged him throughout the course of that 2025 season. That's a concern for sure.

**James Koh** (3:17)
In terms of what we did chart here though, the numbers, they look bad. I'm not going to lie to you, and I'm a little bit surprised because it wasn't just 2025, you had some 2024 games mixed in there as well. I will say this, eyeball test, very fluid, very smooth, great hands.
His adjustment to bad balls, I think is straight up special. Like this guy can track the football like no one else, man. Like he is really good at tracking down bad footballs. He had a lot of bad footballs thrown his way.

**Matt Harmon** (3:54)
Yeah, no question.

**James Koh** (3:55)
At any rate, it was not good.

**Matt Harmon** (3:58)
It was not good.

**James Koh** (4:00)
It was not good.

**Matt Harmon** (4:01)
Both guys we were talking about today did not have the best quarterback play going their way, that is for sure.

**James Koh** (4:07)
I mean, A&M was bad, but Arizona State was, it was a carousel of just not good quarterback play, man.
It was really, really bad. So again, really fluid, really smooth, great hands, but the numbers, they just don't line up, man. 65% success rate on slant routes. My God, man, that is just straight up, that's horrible. That is so bad. You want to be closer to 80%. He's at 65%. That's so bad. Again, and you look at his man score, 67.7% success rate versus man. What you charted against press, 60% success rate against press, that's 30th percentile.
