Welcome to Part of My Take, presented by DraftKings. The Crown is yours. Today is Wednesday, July 15th, and we had the All-Star Game PFT. The Home Run Derby has been saved. That was a plus. The All-Star Game feels like it took 10 million hours to get through, even though it wasn't.
But yeah, the Home Run Derby was saved. It was awesome.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:33)
Yeah, the Home Run Derby was cool, and the game right now, it's the ninth inning and there's two outs, but we don't know how much longer it's going to go. There might be another song. I'm thinking Major League Baseball said, we know how to connect with the youth. We're going to have boys to men. We're going to have three different musical breaks. We're probably going to get like Will Ferrell as Hawk singing This Land Is Your Land after the ninth inning is over. But yeah, this game was pretty boring. I got to be honest. The All-Star game was kind of boring, kind of ironic that the American League wins in a year where it feels like the American League is just, they've been getting their ass kicked by the National League. And then if you look at the star power on each team, it feels like the National League should win this pretty easily.
But it's the All-Star game and nobody really cares. So anything can happen.

Can I say something without triggering a certain member of the show? Do you think I can?
**SPEAKER_3** (3:26)
No. Definitely wants to get mad at it.
**Dan Katz** (3:29)
Okay, all right, you know what? I'll start positive. I thought, so the Home Run Derby was awesome and in a big part-
**Max Kellerman** (3:34)
I want you to start negative.
**Dan Katz** (3:36)
No, I'm gonna start positive. The Home Run Derby was awesome in large part because Philly fans showed out booing, like as Jordan Walker took pitches, it was awesome. There was just like, you could just feel the energy in the building. I think the rule change back to being able to watch the Home Runs made it very cool. Jordan Walker's comeback was like, I wasn't rooting for him. I was rooting for Schwarber. I bet on Schwarber, I don't like the Cardinals, all these things. But it's still, you have to tip your cat and be like, he just, he put his balls on the table at the end of the Home Run Derby and won that Home Run Derby in a hostile environment.
That, that's positive, right? Right? Right, Max? That's positive.
**Max Kellerman** (4:17)
I'm ready. I'm ready for your follow up.
**Dan Katz** (4:20)
Okay. Well, you agree PFT, the Home Run Derby was awesome.
**SPEAKER_3** (4:23)
It's better. It's much better than it was. I think it can still be a little bit better.
I don't like the swings. Give us outs. I don't like the whole swings thing. Yeah, it should be outs or nothing. I do like that. And for the most part, you get to see the ball after it's hit. You get to watch it land. For the most part, there were a lot of times when they didn't have like they'd show the ball in the air and then they go back and like show the face of the pitcher sometimes. I didn't really understand that.
