Hey, everyone. Welcome to Served, brought to you by ServiceNow. I'm Andy, producer Mike Sear, Techie Sean. They're going to get on the plane.

We have one of my favorite people back on the show, Kim Clijsters in the house of Love All and a bunch of Grand Slams One fame.

Mike Sear (1:41)

Yeah, mainly those.

Andy Roddick (1:41)

Which first?

Mike Sear (1:42)

Mainly those. Probably the Slam. We should say Love All first for our own needs, but we should say Grand Slam champion.

Andy Roddick (1:47)

Yeah, I think that it hits a little harder. I mean, it's like just, you know.

Mike Sear (1:51)

Hi, Kim.

Kim Clijsters (1:52)

How's it going? Hi, everyone. Good. Good to see you. Felt like I, it's like weird going back into studio mode now after I saw you all at the US Open and stuff. So it's nice.

Andy Roddick (2:02)

It's weird being in a studio that's not rolling.

Mike Sear (2:08)

Kim has been traveling like crazy though. She's going through something that you and I aren't going yet. She's doing college visits. Yeah.

Andy Roddick (2:15)

Tell us about this.

Kim Clijsters (2:16)

Yeah. It's a lot. It's all new for me as well, right? So I'm going through it for Jada.

So Brian, my husband took her to Boston College during the US Open. Then right after the US Open, her and I went to Fairfield University in Connecticut. Then we just got back from the Villanova visit last night. No, Saturday night. So yeah, it's a lot. We're just trying to get as much information as we can from every school, and from the coaching staff, and the school side of it all, and then come up with what we seem fit for her.

Andy Roddick (2:59)

So for those who don't know, Jada is a really, really good basketball player and is going through like, where am I going to play college ball because I am really good at basketball. So you go on site, this is taking a detour early in this episode. You go on site, like what, you just get toured around and you meet the coaches and you just meet everyone. It's like a meet and greet basically.

Kim Clijsters (3:18)

Yeah, you meet the coaches, you get a tour.

SPEAKER_2 (3:21)

They offer you money right away.

Kim Clijsters (3:23)

No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

Mike Sear (3:25)

It's not like that.

Kim Clijsters (3:27)

No, no, no.

But it's funny because like for, you know, a lot of the players like on Jada's national team where she plays from Belgium, like they go to the States and they, you know, know a little bit about like budgets here and there. And so it's like funny how like numbers get into like her head as well. And so we're always trying to like say like, okay, just, you know, it's the development part that's the most important. And she knows that. But it's, yeah, it's funny how like the finances all of a sudden become a topic that, you know, I've never had to talk about finances for her either. And so it's just interesting how that all plays, yeah, plays a part of it. But every school, that's the that's that kind of the weird part is like every school has a different approach when it comes to how they run a visit, how they communicate about NIL and how they, you know, how they diverse it, like how they divide it amongst the players. And so every school does it differently and for their own reasons. And so that we're all just trying to get the information and then see what works, yeah, what's best for Jada. We have to with her, it's like because she obviously has a goal to try and keep developing and play for the Belgium national team and maybe go to the Olympics. And so that's, I think, one of our main concerns is, okay, where will she be able to be developed the best? And yeah, so we'll see. I, how long do you have before you get to that?
