Hello, and welcome to Rewind with Karen & Georgia.

Karen Kilgariff (0:19)

This is our show where we look back on and edit together our old episodes from 2018, this time with all new insights and case updates.

Georgia Hardstark (0:28)

We were rewinding to episode 117, which we named Reality's Canceled.

Karen Kilgariff (0:33)

I stand by that.

It has been, that's when the timeline jumped. This episode originally came out April 19th, 2018

Georgia Hardstark (0:41)

Let's get into it, the intro to episode 117

Karen Kilgariff (0:48)

Welcome to My Favorite Murder.

Georgia Hardstark (0:51)

The podcast where we-

Karen Kilgariff (0:53)

You know exactly where you are. Every time.

Georgia Hardstark (0:55)

As we introduce you in the very beginning.

Karen Kilgariff (0:57)

You're baffled when you hit play and stare at our logo, until we tell you where you are.

Georgia Hardstark (1:02)

Do you want to start with Corrections Corner? Do you want me to start with telling you something crazy that happened?

Karen Kilgariff (1:07)

I will start with saying that I did a tweet about me belching so loudly that people heard me on the street.

Georgia Hardstark (1:17)

Right. Which I love.

Karen Kilgariff (1:18)

And it was very embarrassing. And lots of people responded and were like, I knew I was a Karen. And the irony of that is one of the way Georgia and I became friends. One of the icebreakers from the very beginning was we were at a Thanksgiving dinner at our friend's house, a very small party.

We knew each other from talking once at a party, I believe. And Georgia, almost the entire party was belching. And I could not stop laughing. It was my favorite fucking thing in the world. And so when that happened and people were like, I'm such a Karen. I was like, I wonder if Georgia is going to get mad that I just stole her thing. Yeah.

Georgia Hardstark (1:55)

I'm angry that you stole the most embarrassing thing about me. That's so gross that my mom is so ashamed of.

That clearly just indicates that I have some gastrointestinal issues.

Karen Kilgariff (2:06)

I mean, join the club. I guess we all do.

Georgia Hardstark (2:09)

But I want you to have it. I want you to have that. I want you to be known for that instead of me.

Karen Kilgariff (2:13)

Okay. Well, I've clearly moved into that because I made this burp.

I put my hand up to cover my mouth. I will say that for myself. But I think that made it. There's an echo effect that was created because of my hand cupping. And so it was like I was yodeling a burp across Magnolia Avenue.

Georgia Hardstark (2:31)

We're going to start bringing you on stage at Coachella to yodel your burp.

Karen Kilgariff (2:36)

Fuck the yodeling boy. Let's get me belching into a microphone.

Georgia Hardstark (2:39)

That's right.

I once belched out the window in the passenger seat in Beverly Hills and angled it out the window. And next to us at the stoplight rolled down and the windows rolled down or maybe his car top up because he was so rich. Who I angled it at was the dude from American Idol.

Karen Kilgariff (3:03)

Who? Ryan Seacrest?

Georgia Hardstark (3:04)

Yes.

Karen Kilgariff (3:05)

Oh no.

Georgia Hardstark (3:05)

I belched right at him. And he was like, you're going to Hollywood.

Karen Kilgariff (3:11)

And then Randy Jackson popped up and was like, little pitchy, little pitchy on that one.

Georgia Hardstark (3:16)

So you can get pitchy.

We just, we just sang Stephen. Happy birthday. His birthday was yesterday.

Karen Kilgariff (3:23)

It's Stephen Ray Morris's 31st birthday.

Georgia Hardstark (3:27)

That's right.

Karen Kilgariff (3:28)

I feel old.

Georgia Hardstark (3:29)

No, you are.

Karen Kilgariff (3:30)

You're so old.

Georgia Hardstark (3:31)

We celebrated with a, I was like, what do we, we have to get Stephen like a dinosaur cupcake or something. And then Vince went to the grocery store last night and came back with this Hello Kitty birthday cake in the most like insane box. It was just so hilariously perfect.

Karen Kilgariff (3:49)

And then we ate it. We ate it.

Stephen Ray Morris (3:51)

My heart is racing right now.

Georgia Hardstark (3:52)

Yeah. Stephen had two pieces. I was like, do you want me to throw this away? He was like, no, I want another piece. And he's having coffee.

Karen Kilgariff (3:58)

My theory is that it wasn't ice cream per se. It was just ice cream like frosting. Like it was just an entire frosting cake.

Georgia Hardstark (4:07)

Frozen frosting. With frosting on the outside.
