Revolutionary AI Hardware from OpenAI

And it's kind of funny because we've seen many AI hardware devices over the years. None of them feel like they have stuck. All of them have flopped. This one isn't AI hardware in the way you might imagine, but, and I actually kind of love it if I'm being honest. So I wanna get Jamie's take on this. Jamie, have you seen pictures of it yet?

I haven't seen pictures of it yet, but if you are watching this episode, you can see it is a keypad for AI agents, and it looks pretty cool.
It looks kind of retro, but in a cool way. I think it, I'm very interested to hear about some of these features. I haven't even researched this at all, so I'd love to hear what you've heard about it, Jayden.

Okay, so before we get into that, I wanted to mention if you have ever wanted to grow or scale your business using AI tools, we would love to have you as a member of the school community. So the thing that I'm excited about with this hardware, though, coming from OpenAI, I've seen a lot of people make jokes about very similar type of hardware. So I think less than OpenAI kind of coming out with a blockbuster banger of like, this is the greatest hardware ever. I think a lot of people buy this as a novelty thing. To me, this feels kind of like a test run, because we know that OpenAI is working on some real serious hardware with Johnny Ive from Apple. Apple's currently suing OpenAI, because apparently when Apple hired Johnny Ive, or when OpenAI hired Johnny Ive over to their company, you know, he previously designed the iPhone, they hire him over, and they hired over another senior executive from Apple.
And when this happened, to kind of work on their design firm, that senior executive from Apple, I started to find his name, he went and hired over 400 people from Apple's design team, and apparently they cleaned out the entire Apple design team so bad that Apple had to rebuild their whole design team from scratch, everyone was gone. Apple's got, in their lawsuit, they say like that they pulled over a lot of like trade secrets and custom secret stuff from Apple when they like came over, and so that's what the lawsuit's about. But anyway you want to cut it, they completely got poached and to build this design team. They have a real serious piece of hardware that's coming out. Apparently, it's like a smart speaker, but it also moves around, so it's gonna be pretty interesting to see what that, when that comes out and what that is when it comes out. So this feels like a dry run. It's their first piece of hardware. Is it something insanely revolutionary? No, it's a keyboard where you can like click check mark to approve what the AI model's working on, or X to disapprove it. It has a voice button that you can push to do voice to text. And anyways, it's got a couple other little buttons. You can branch things, and anyways, there's a couple funny buttons, and I think there's some spots where you can make your own short keys and short codes in there. So I like the concept. I think it's a lot of fun. If you look at the way this is built, I mean, this is very DIY almost, like you could kind of buy these components and kind of assemble this thing yourself. But it looks like a lot of fun as well at the same time.
