So you can now use Reverse Engineer Anything MCP for Hermes Agents. This is a new free plugin. You can plug into Hermes Agent directly. And if you're wondering what Reverse Engineer Anything is, basically it allows you to reverse engineer apps or websites or that sort of thing. So you can basically figure out how to build them yourself. Or for example, if you're building out an app and you see a feature that you like, you can actually reverse engineer it using Reverse Engineer Anything. And then you can plug it into Hermes Agent, and it can actually figure it out for you directly, which is pretty amazing. Now, there's a couple of ways to install this. Number one is you can get the terminal command like this, so you can actually just go into your terminal and then copy this like so.
Or the other option you have is you can just open this link inside Hermes Desktop. So Hermes have made it super easy to basically go into your AI agents and then give it a plugin because they've got a new plugin catalog, as you can see. So if you're wondering how this works step by step, well, basically what you can do here is you can give this plugin to Hermes agent using MCP, and then with Reverse Engine or anything, you can combine it with Hermes agent to basically build out your own apps and that sort of thing, right? So let's install this now, as you can see, and it's like a one-click install, which is super easy. The other option that you have is you can go to your agentic operating system. So for me, for example, I have Hermes agent over here, and then we can go inside our favorite Hermes agent like this and just go, okay, just check it works. And then you can go into agent OS like this and just say, can you install this? And then it will set up. This is a couple of different options for installing it. You can use Terminal, you can give it the documentation from the plugin catalog, or you can go into Hermes agent directly and just set up the Hermes reverse engineer anything plugin as you can see today.
Now you can see it installed as so.
And from here, we can just run it across an example website that we really like.
So let's say, for example, we see an app that looks really good and we want to kind of reverse engineer it to the Hermes agent. The great thing about this is we can reverse engineer it. And then what's going to happen is it will plug into our workspace over here inside the agent. So if we go inside this section and we could just use a simple prompt like use REA to reverse engineer this calendar app. I've given it a link to my calendar. And that said, rebuild a simpler, more beautiful version for me. And so now Hermes is going to start placing it together. And this is basically like a free app builder, right? So you can use this to build number one, build unique stuff with it. But number two, it's a free MCP you can use across any AI agent. It doesn't have to be Hermes, but Hermes is one of the best ways to use it. There was a bunch of cool case studies here, so you can see some examples of how it works step by step. And you can also use this to understand features of different apps. So here's an example.
You could ask about the speed. You can say, use REA to inspect this game. Why does it get faster? Show the rules, then build a small version with an adjustable speed. And here's the rule that it created. And then from there, it actually creates the result, right? So we can see an example of the result in the game that it created. So basically, what it does is it enables Hermes Agent to create better apps, to create better websites, add better functionality to your apps, and then for you to create a vibe code. And then also, it's going to help you understand how those different apps work by reverse engineering it. Here's another example. So it rebuilds a calculators percentage button, and you just give it the prompt, like use REA to do this, find both rules, and then it rebuilds it as you can see. And this GitHub is trending like crazy, like 293,000 stars on GitHub. So you're using two different open-source projects, Hermes Agent, along with reverse engineer anything, basically to combine it into a much more powerful coding agent. And that's one of the things I would say about Hermes as well, is like typically it's not that great for coding out, but this works pretty well. All right, and then now we have the build back from Hermes using reverse engineer. So you can see it created it locally, and then we could check it out here. It breaks down as well the rules behind it. So it's like, what is a clean single file calendar appointment app, a simpler rebuild of the scheduler that you gave me, and it breaks down the rules and how it works. So for example, the weekend day views, the sidebar, let's actually have a look and see what it looks like. So we can open it up. It's actually hosted on localhost here, and we can see the full calendar and schedule, like so.
