Amy Coney Barrett tells the world that she's been getting threats, and the world sympathizes. A lot of conservatives do. It's not an easy job to be Supreme Court justice, especially when you have to vote a certain way. But this report comes out, this tweet, if you want to first show the numbers, then we'll go to the clip, and then I want you to see what other Supreme Court justice said when they were trying to scare the crap out of him, and saying, even if it kills me, I'm not letting you guys do this on the face of a previous president Joe Biden in the video. I want you to watch this. Let me read it to you. Amy Coney Barrett's record tells a troubling story. Okay, if you can zoom in a little bit to the right. Before Dobbs, she voted with conservative position in 81% of unanimous cases. Since then, that number was dropped sharply into the 50 to 60% range. A lot of people say, why? Including on major cases involving birthright citizenship. You know what birthright, it's stuff that liberals would even agree with. So, birthright citizenship and election procedures, you know, the whole voter ID stuff that was going through as well, and administrative power, where she has sided with Chief Justice Roberts and the liberals. The Dobbs League triggered violent threats and protests aimed directly at Supreme Court justices.
If the threat of violence or intimidation can move a justice, vote on fundamental issues. We have a constitutional crisis on our hands, and I agree with this tweet. Judicial independence is not optional. It is the foundation of the rule of law. When justice appears, to bend under pressure, public trust collapses, and the entire system is at risk. So I thought I would just share a little bit about how the threats have affected me and my family personally. They have required me, my children, to think about and see things that children should not have to see or think about. One example is when threats to my life were particularly intense a few years ago around the time of the Dobs League. My security detail sent me home with a bulletproof vest, and I carried it into my house, put it into my bedroom, dropped it down on a table, turned around and my 12-year-old son was standing in the doorway of my bedroom, and he wanted to know what it was and why I had it, and I didn't know how to respond because maybe I lack imagination, but I didn't expect that performing this service was going to put me in the position of explaining to my children what a bulletproof vest was and why I had to wear one. It's also been reported in the news that roughly six weeks ago, I was the victim of a swatting incident.
