Hello, everybody. Welcome to the H3 show. Coming at you live from Los Angeles, California.
June 15th, 2026 Some of you may not have heard, but the news has definitely gone around by now, but not everybody is on social media. But our good friend, friend of the show, a good friend of me and Hila, and a lot of you guys here, you've connected with a lot of people, tragically passed away yesterday in a helicopter accident in Brazil. And unfortunately, it's not a prank. Like, I was desperate to believe when I first heard it. It seems like something he would do, which is like stage his death to promote his new album, because he does have a new album out.
Desperately scoured the internet for, you know, evidence to support my theory.
But, it's real. He's, yeah, Oliver Tree is, he's gone, so. We've put together kind of a special episode here for him. I'm trying not to cry and be sad and mopey about it. I honestly, I think this episode should be fun and celebratory, because looking over all the content we created together, and it's a massive body of work, and it's all just so funny and joyous, and he is just such an incredible, credibly funny, gracious, creative person. You know, I put out a statement yesterday, but in it, I kind of acknowledged, and Dan, you can back me up on this. Every time Oliver came on the tree.

On the tree?

And picked coconuts.
Every time Oliver came on the show, it was always such a big production. He had us in meetings, he had us in calls, weeks, months in advance, the plan. Whoa, Nellie! Because it was never, it could never be more.

**Hila Klein** (3:01)
He always wanted it to be special, and he always wanted to bring something fresh to the show if he was gonna come on.
And he would always put a lot of thoughtfulness into it. But not even like, I don't wanna make him sound like it was difficult, because it was always collaborative, it was always positive, it was always like, what can we do? I think this would be really funny. And yeah, it was always a joy to work with him.

**Lena** (3:25)
It was always just like, he has a ton of ideas and he's like, all right, I'm not gonna just call in, there's no way, but let's have everybody have a double.

**Ethan Klein** (3:37)
Yeah, we did it.

**Zach** (3:39)
He put me through the wringer as an audio guy, the most extensive audio setup I think I've ever had to do was working with him.

**Ethan Klein** (3:45)
Which one is that?

**Zach** (3:47)
Just any bit we did, it was a lot of audio tech stuff.

**Ethan Klein** (3:52)
We had a lot, or we did a lot of stuff like, out and about, like the cowboys, the boxing.

**Love** (3:58)
Indoor in the studio.

Yeah, we set up a whole professional grade boxing ring in our studio.

On the second story.

It reached from wall to wall. On the second story, the four bastards that had to fucking set that up and ship it out.

The four bastards, it was us, partially, we hauled that stuff out.

I was thinking a lot about how doing, I feel like it was mostly a few years ago when he would come on a lot, and it was like a lot of fighting.
And so many times people would see me on the street, and like fans, and they would be like, you know, love you and love the show. But I have to ask you a question. Is the Oliver Tree beef real? Like even fans would still ask me that.

**Ethan Klein** (4:44)
Yes, for real.

**Lena** (4:47)
And I guess, can we finally tell them?

**Ethan Klein** (4:51)
Tell them that it was real?
