All right, folks, earlier in the week, I interviewed Ryan Pineda on his show. And anytime you do something like that, you get a whole brand new audience. And you know what?
Some of those people don't like me very much. So we will see what that new audience had to say. Thanks for doing this. Thanks for going through my videos and also the ones I'm on other channels, Mark. It's amazing work you do.
Mark (1:15)
No, I'm glad you jump on other people's channels because it definitely provides more content for us to use. But that one was a little bit different, right? It seemed like you were more of the...
Michael Zuber (1:26)
I was the interviewer, yeah. Yeah.
Mark (1:28)
So did you set that all up after you made us big? Okay.
Michael Zuber (1:31)
Yeah, I reached out to him. So I learned about it while I was at BP on Saturday. And by Sunday evening, we had agreed to do that interview and I would sit in the big chair. So he would sit on the couch and be interviewed. So, yeah, I set that up. He agreed, thankfully. And I had a lot of fun.
But yeah, some of his audience really doesn't like me. And that big bald guy, he really doesn't like me.
Mark (1:52)
Okay, so people haven't heard Ryan Pineda is quitting real estate, right? And I don't know, this person felt that Zoobar is smiling ear to ear and gloating, pretending he wasn't talking shit and doing jumping jacks when he heard Ryan Pineda quit.
Michael Zuber (2:12)
I was shocked as everyone that Ryan quit. I actually called around to lots of people on my network going, what the hell is going on?
I wouldn't say I was excited. I think that's a little bit unfair. I was surprised at everyone else. But, you know, Ryan, I mean, I've known Ryan pretty well for three years now. And he's always, you know, he's chased what I call the hot money. And I think he even says in that video, he's not interested in slow money. He wants fast money. And, you know, I've talked to him long enough to know, you know, I knew it before M-19 was a thing, right? M-19 is golf masterminds doing a million bucks a month, right? And oh, by the way, he loves golf and he's an athlete. It's like right up his will house. He's never liked real estate. Real estate to him was just a means to an end. And, you know, you know, just another person who got in real estate when it was perfect timing, crushed it, and now real estate's hard and they're going to go do something else. So I don't know. I don't know why I would be gloating.
I am happy that the true operators, the people that love real estate are staying in, which I am. And I like the opportunities, right? When big people like Ryan leave, it just leaves more opportunity for us because they're still motivated sellers. They're still people with problems. So, you know, I think the fact that real estates, again, people think real estate is hard today. I've been doing this for 25 years. This is a lot more normal than 21 and 22 21 and 22 are not normal, but a lot of people think it was. So, yeah, I think that statement is unfair.
Yeah, I think that's unfair.
Mark (3:56)
And in that video, they said, Brian DeVilla, so the bald guy, holds Zooper accountable and literally throws Zooper's very consistently wrong predictions in his face. That's why I like their interactions. Zooper holds another L.
Michael Zuber (4:13)
So the only thing that Brian has gotten right, and he's done it twice. So again, where credit is due is on transactions. So he's said that transactions would be worse than I thought. He's not been right on price. Again, you guys don't watch.
