Hello James.
James Richardson (0:44)
Welcome back Duncan.
Duncan Alexander (0:45)
Thank you.
James Richardson (0:45)
Good holiday.
Duncan Alexander (0:46)
Reasonable.
James Richardson (0:47)
Excellent. Julien Laurens has returned as well. Hello Jimbo.
Julien Laurens (0:50)
Hello Duncan. Hi everyone.
James Richardson (0:51)
And you're well?
Julien Laurens (0:52)
Very well. Thank you very much. Super happy to be on the show again.
James Richardson (0:55)
Love that shirt.
Julien Laurens (0:57)
2000, 2001, you've been just third kit with obviously in the back. If you can see.
Pol Ballús (1:02)
David Therese again.
James Richardson (1:04)
What a lovely chap he was.
Julien Laurens (1:05)
Of course. Yeah.
James Richardson (1:06)
Indeed still is.
Julien Laurens (1:08)
Yeah.
James Richardson (1:08)
Hey, Pol Ballús joining us. How are you?
Pol Ballús (1:12)
How are you? How are you? Yeah.
James Richardson (1:14)
Did you have a good Tuesday night?
Pol Ballús (1:16)
I did. I did. I enjoyed it quite a lot. I think a good night of football overall.
James Richardson (1:21)
What was your favorite bit of the entire night?
Pol Ballús (1:23)
I would say my favorite bit was Troy Parrott winner, if I'm honest. Because I sort of didn't expect Real Betis coming back two times. And then the third one basically to score the winner, Troy Parrott with, I don't know if the week of his life because he's had a pretty good moment playing for Ireland, but a pretty decent week after scoring the winner against Real Madrid and giving Real Betis his first Champions League win in over 20 years.
James Richardson (1:46)
What a game. That looks like it was 3-2. I didn't see it because I was busy watching the Real Madrid-Inter affair. Duncan, what was your standout moment on Tuesday night?
Duncan Alexander (1:55)
Well, like Paul, I enjoyed Troy Parrott playing up front, not off the shoulder as he often does. But yeah, I think probably the launch of the new ball.
James Richardson (2:03)
Did you like the new ball?
Duncan Alexander (2:04)
No, I didn't know that.
James Richardson (2:06)
Sometimes you like a new ball, sometimes you don't. When I saw the ball with its slightly too-too-fruity colour scheme, I thought Duncan's not going to be having that.
Duncan Alexander (2:15)
Well, I wasn't at first, but then I looked-
James Richardson (2:17)
It looks like it's vomit flecked.
Duncan Alexander (2:18)
Well, do you know what it is? Per Adidas Ball Manufacturers, they said it captures the theme of the Quiet Morning Mist, where hard work is put in before the big game.
James Richardson (2:27)
I'm sorry, what?
Duncan Alexander (2:28)
That's the Quiet Morning Mist.
James Richardson (2:30)
Yeah.
Duncan Alexander (2:31)
Drifting over a training pitch. That could be in Cobham.
James Richardson (2:34)
Which element of their design captures the-
Duncan Alexander (2:37)
I'm not entirely sure, but a few players did miss with it. So there you go.
James Richardson (2:42)
Bingo. Two fine moments of the Tuesday. Jules, anything stand out for you?
Julien Laurens (2:47)
Actually, I was going to go a bit rogue, but actually, I keep that for later. So I would pick Serhou Guirassy, who became the first player in Champions League history to score a brace and an own goal in the same game.
James Richardson (2:56)
Is that right? You haven't ever done that before?
Julien Laurens (2:58)
Nobody ever before him. It was last night for Dortmund against Villarreal. He scored two, one tap in on a cross by Fabio Silva, one penalty.
And then after that, an own goal, a very unfortunate own goal. It's not like an Adamao Traore own goal or the own goal that we saw yesterday as well in the- In the League Cup. Yeah, in the Cabao Cup, in the League Cup. This one is very much Koble, pushes the ball on his face and then the ball goes in. But yeah, nobody had ever scored two and an own goal as well in the same year.
James Richardson (3:24)
Looking forward to your rogue entry later on. What will, which game is that in?
