So a lot of people are probably a little disappointed, though. There's 703 people in the Colts. And right now this Rams team is at least getting all they can handle right now. A little bit from this cardinal squad as well. Wes, I said, you know, about this Bears defense that, you know, Kyler Gordon, the oft injured Kyler Gordon, who plays corner for them. But the on off has been, you know, really crazy when he's on the field for them today. Gordon comes back off IR, three sacks, three tackles for loss, two QB hits and two forced fumbles for him in that game against the Atlanta. So maybe there is some hope here for the Bears other side of the ball. It certainly seems like they figured this out on offense. Ben Johnson working with Caleb Williams. Seems like Caleb and him are figuring out and getting it on well. But the defense is the thing that everyone's worried about. And, you know, maybe not one guy's gonna turn everything around, but certainly having a good corner out there can help you.

Wes Reynolds (2:16)

Well, the Bears aren't one of those defenses that are built to get like what I would call tap outs, you know, where you get legit stops and get three and outs all the time. But they're a team that can live off turnovers. And oh, by the way, plus two in the turnover margin, four fumbles by Atlanta today.

And three of them lost fumbles. They had the one on the punt return where Atlanta kind of looked like they were sneaking back in the game, right? And then I think it was Zachariah Branch, a former local product here from Bishop Gorman, who fumbled a punt and the Bears got it like first in goal on the eight or something. And then they eventually scored Michael Pennex.

Branch had two fumbles today, by the way, and Pennex had the third one. So turn it over against an explosive offense and give them chance after chance. Because the numbers are going to look relatively pedestrian. But I think the Bears, once they had that lead, they're kind of running the ball a little bit. So it wasn't like they really had pedal to the metal. That's why the numbers might be deceiving in terms of the offensive output with 333 in the net. And that's Caleb Williams getting sacked four times, of course. But Bears don't have problems offensively. It's the defense.

Matt Brown (3:24)

It seems it's working.

Wes Reynolds (3:25)

And if they force turnovers, you know, that makes them more dangerous because they're not a team that's ever going to be at the top of the metrics. Like when we look at success rate or EPA or, you know, all the different metrics that we look at for defense and offense for that matter.

But turnover is the great equalizer. And that's why the Bears were effective today. So now maybe all is right in Chicago. We shall see. They, by the way, have a short week because they played the New England Patriots. We have a pretty good Thursday night football game, a good match up there. And we'll get the lines, I think, later in the program as they're more distributed. But one and a half is what I'm seeing for the Bears at home over the Patriots on an early number.

Matt Brown (4:08)

So Wes, as we were looking at these box scores and the one thing that jumped out was that Cam Scadaboo didn't have any caries today for the Giants. Harbaugh says he didn't bench him and it wasn't by design that he didn't have any caries today. I'm like, huh.
