Listening to you since you were with Sid back on the sports guys, so you're talking, what, 26 years?

**Craig Carton** (0:04)
Long time, yeah.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:06)
So, I love you, just to preface that. Thank you. But this little game and quiz you like to play with everybody about how Jaxson Dart is the worst quarterback in the NFC, and I say this in the most lovingly possible way, it's the dumbest thing that I've ever heard. You're talking about a guy that started, what, 12 games last year versus Dak Prescott, who's been in the league for, I think, like 11 years, with multiple play-out games.
Jalen Hurts, who won a Super Bowl and was in another one, and Jaden Daniels, who took his team to the NFC change game. What person in their right mind would ever say that Jaxson Dart is close to being the best or one of the best in that division?

**Craig Carton** (0:44)
You'd be shocked how many giant fans say he's not the fourth best, to be honest.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:48)
Let's play that game when he's been in the league for a few years or five years.

**Craig Carton** (0:51)
That's fair.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:53)
My question for Damian, and I respect you, Damian, I watch you a lot on ESPN. So my question for you is with regard to OBJ. Now, my daughter sent me this video today, I guess it was from today, where he just like schooled some defender. He looks like he's in his 20s.
I think at this point, it seems like they're moving in the direction that he's probably going to make the team. I would think he would. What do you really think his contribution to this team would be?

**Damian Woody** (1:21)
It's a great question.

**Chris McMonigle** (1:21)
In terms of his physical, and then maybe like if it's not great, obviously, he's not as young as he was. In terms of leadership and helping out the younger wide receivers, especially neighbors and Malachi Fields.

**Damian Woody** (1:37)
Yeah. Listen, I think first of all, he's on the other side of 30 I think you're dealing with a more mature Odell Beckham Jr. Physically, he's not what he used to be. But I think from a mental standpoint, he's a guy that can be a veteran presence, that will be able to complement some of the younger players. I think, listen, this thing is about Malik neighbors, obviously. Malik neighbors needs to be show that he's come back from his injury. He has to be healthy. I think he's such a big piece of the puzzle for the New York Giants. To be able to have a veteran presence like Odell Beckham Jr, who's been a lot of places that Malik neighbors wants to be in this town.
OBJ was a superstar here in New York.
He's had a career where he's obviously been traded and been in different places. He finds himself back here in New York. I think the greatest thing that Odell Beckham Jr. can contribute is being a guy that can help usher in some of these younger players.

**Eric Talercios** (2:35)
Because he's been there and done it all.

**Damian Woody** (2:37)
He's been there. He's done it all.

**Craig Carton** (2:39)
He was a celebrity.

**Damian Woody** (2:40)
He was a bona fide celebrity with the New York Giants. If he can be a guy that can help Malik neighbors and some of these younger guys navigate this whole situation, then I think that's going to be his biggest contribution to the New York Giants.

**Craig Carton** (2:55)
Look, he beat a guy man to man, one on one coverage last week. Obviously, the ball didn't come his way, but even on the broadcast, Phil Simms, Bob Poppa and Carl Banks pointed out, I don't know if it was Winston who was in the game or maybe him. Just didn't look to his right. He's got the guy beat by a couple yards, so he beat him off the line of scrimmage. I know he's the back of the cornerback, but he's an NFL player. And again, if he's shining in practice, I think he makes the team.
I do.

**Damian Woody** (3:21)
I think he makes the team as well. Again, I think he's a veteran guy. He understands the position. He understands what John Harbaugh...

**Craig Carton** (3:28)
As long as your expectations of him aren't crazy, he's not a number one anymore.

**Damian Woody** (3:31)
Yeah, he's not a number one. And I think as long as fans understand, you're not getting to Odell Beckham Jr from seven, eight years ago. That's not what you're getting. You're getting a guy who's older, who's physically not what he used to be. But as a veteran guy, he can definitely contribute to this bulk.
