This episode is brought to you by Carhartt. We spent a lot of time talking about what happens on the field, but what about everything that has to happen before anyone can play on it? The grass has to be grown, the stadium has to be built, the goal posts have to be welded. That's the work of tradespeople committed to getting every detail right. And Carhartt is proud to outfit those people, the crews making football possible. So this season, when you're watching the game, take a second to think about the people behind it. On today's episode of The Ringer Fantasy Football Show, we are power ranking the best and worst players in fantasy football through the first four weeks of the season.
Craig Horlbeck (1:09)
We have fantasy awards, kind of. It's 18 weeks. We're after week four. It's fine. Quarter week, quarter season awards.
Danny Heifetz (1:15)
Craig and I get really mad about Drake Mayer, Herbert Deacon. I get really mad about who's in first place in the Ringer Fantasy League. And I don't think you two got mad at each other.
Craig Horlbeck (1:24)
And we find out about the world's biggest Imagine Dragons fan and it's not Danny Heifetz.
Danny Heifetz (1:29)

Welcome to The Ringer Fantasy Football Show. My name is Danny Heifetz and I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Horlbeck. And today it is Power Hour where every power, no, every Wednesday we power rank something.
And this Wednesday, it is quarter season clarity. We were power ranking basically the best and worst players of fantasy football through four weeks, all the picks we love and players we regret and everything in between and people who have just completely and utterly embarrassed themselves. But first, want to get to Monday Night Football and a couple pieces of news. First of all, the Falcons absolutely walloped the States on Monday Night Football. The Falcons won 45 to 24 Bichon Robinson comes out and has 20 fantasy points in the first quarter. Bichon has like 80 yards and two touchdowns in the first quarter, finishes with 145 And then Brian Robinson has three touchdowns to end the game. So B Robinson had five touchdowns in this game combined between Bichon and Brian.
TK, do you think the Saints defense sucks? Or do you think the Falcons with Michael Pennex are actually just like elite?
Danny Kelly (3:19)
I mean, I think both things can be kind of true. I think the Saints defense is not good. And I do think that ever since Pennex got back, the Falcons offensive has been really clicking. He hasn't put up big numbers, Pennex hasn't, but it just makes everything kind of work together. Their run game has been incredible. They rushed for 205 yards in this game, averaging almost six yards per carry. Brian Robinson went in there for all the people that accidentally drafted him, thinking that he was Bijon Robinson and gave him a little extra out there. He actually ended up three touchdowns, which is crazy. But yeah, I think the Falcons offense just looks really good right now. They're kicking ass in the run game.
And it's really exciting for the rest of the year because we kind of thought they were dead after two weeks. We just thought this offense was horrific. And now it looks like it can really put up numbers.
Craig Horlbeck (4:10)
Yeah, I think what's nice is that Pennex doesn't seem to be under duress a whole lot.
I think he's been sacked once in his two games as a starter. They played Green Bay and New Orleans. But look, when Pennex was in college and was kept clean in the pocket and was healthy at Washington, he looked good. And Pennex rips the ball, he throws it deep. He only had 15 completions in this game, but it was for like 200 plus yards. He had like four throws over 20 plus yards. Pennex with Pitts, who had 50 yards in this game, Kyle Pitts, worth pointing out, and with Drake Lennon and Bijan Robinson. When he has the pieces around him, Pennex is kind of a nice fit for the situation.
