Just a time to break down the Kaishan Booty trade. You know, we've had some wide receiver injuries around the NFL over the last week or so. We've talked about Booty as an option for multiple teams, the Saints perhaps, but turned out it was the Houston Texans who lost Jaden Higgins to a torn ACL last week. They pushed the chips in. They bring in Kaishan Booty.
I think we can assume that he will at least compete for that number two wide receiver job in Houston. They have a slew of names behind him, including Xavier Hutchinson, including Jalen Knoll, one of their early picks from last year. But Booty, one of those guys who of course has the track record to step in and produce right away.
What does this mean for the New England side of things though, Jeff? You know, once they brought in Romeo Dobbs, once they brought in AJ Brown, felt like Booty became a little bit more expendable. Does this change how you think about either of those top two receivers in New England?

**Jeff Erickson** (2:26)
No, not at all. I think this was, you know, he expressed his discontent pretty quickly after that, and understandably so.
You'll see maybe Kyle Williams be the sacrificial X more often, I think. They still have Mario Douglas, Mac Holland's Kyle Williams on this team. Those guys are going to make the team too. So, I mean, they had the depth of trade from there. And obviously Houston is doing this because they're addressing a need after losing Jayden Higgins. Also, I think this is a reflection that they weren't necessarily confident in Jalen Knowles and Tinkdale's health.
I think they needed Budi to step in and play that role. Xavier Hutchinson, he's a good blocker for a receiver. I don't necessarily think they want him on the field all that much, especially in 11 formations. So, we'll see about that there. I still think Dalton Schultz is a guy that deserves a little extra attention with Higgins out. That's why I didn't move Schultz down. I moved him up, actually, after the Higgins injury. I'm not going to move him back down.

Yeah, I think that's the right way to read it. And you don't want to be overly negative before any games have been played. But I think if you're reading between the lines, it's Houston, a team that on paper does have depth, that wide receiver saying, okay, we're still wondering if Jalen Dole is going to be healthy. We were expecting to get Tank Dal back, but he's coming off of one of the more serious injuries we've seen at the receiver position in recent memory. How much can we really rely on him, especially if all of a sudden we're asking him to be the wide receiver too, behind Nico Collins. So I like this move for Houston, a team clearly that has Super Bowl aspirations in the AFC. And like you said, there's still plenty of depth in New England. I mean, all those names that you rattled off, these guys were battling for like wide receiver one, wide receiver two on this team last year. When those guys are your wide receiver three, your wide receiver four, your wide receiver five, I think New England is still in a really good spot. And I will say, I think this makes me feel slightly better about Romeo Dobbs really being secure as that number two option. Again, it always felt to me like Butte was going to be on the move at some point. But two new weapons in place as those top two options now for Drake May.
