Alex Golesh (2:28)

All right, guys.

Thank you for sticking around.

One thing I want to just start off with, how incredible Tiger Walk to coming out for warmups and having a packed out student section. Man, everybody said it was special and different, and it is special and different. And I've coached in this league. This place is really, really special. So grateful to our students, our band, the people that came out. Tiger Walk, just beyond grateful to be able to come out and play in a home atmosphere like that. Obviously affected the opponent in the first quarter offensively with the crowd noise.

And certainly need it and more here going into next week. But super grateful, really, really cool. I don't take it for granted. It's not like that everywhere. So I appreciate that.

For the game, man, really high end way to start it defensively.

A lot of credit to the pressure and then Dre being there. If I'm right, maybe his first and second career picks in over 30 starts. So that was really cool for him. But to start it, the way we started it defensively, I thought offensively, man, sloppy. And it's not enough on the line of scrimmage. It's holding, it's a start, it's holding. We fumble it in the red zone, then it's holding again at multiple drops.

And I don't mean to sound negative. I just, we finish off the half, the first half, with a bunch of miss tackles and give up a crazy drive. I was disappointed with that. And then in the second half, I thought defensively we picked it up back to how we started and did a really good job. Want the or off sides back outside of that. I thought the second group went in there and held our own.

The positive on both sides, we got to play a bunch of guys, a bunch of guys that hadn't played yet, got to play. So it was really good experience for those guys. I was just so beyond disappointed in the sloppiness. I was beyond disappointed in the block in the back, in the punt return, and then the fumble in the red zone. Just sloppy, sloppy, and I don't care what the score is. I don't. That's what I just told these guys. A win's a win, and winning college football games is hard. But if the standard is that, and that's what it looks like, then we're going to have a really, really, really long season. We have to have a sense of urgency on cleaning this up, and that's on me beyond anybody else. We can't hold the way we did, like just sloppy up perimeter holding like I want to throw up. It made me sick to be honest with you. We'll take the win. Again, grateful to our fans. But that there are so many points left. I mean, so many points offensively left out there makes me sick. And we'll get it right. We'll get it cleaned up. There just needs to be a sense of urgency to clean it up. And as much as I felt like we had a sense of urgency this week, with it, it obviously didn't show. So that's my fault. And we'll get that right. I thought we established the run better. I thought Byron took him a second to get settled in. But I thought he settled in. He felt comfortable taking off and running a handful of times, which is where at times that's how he gets going. But I thought we left some out there in the past game. And it wasn't all the drops, but the drops certainly pissed me off. So that's disappointing. But I thought Byron settled in. He's going to continue to get better as he continues to be around this group. But we got a long way to go if we're going to win SEC games here. So we'll get there. Questions?
