This video is sponsored by Terrahutton, who makes the invisible, investible. Today in the CEO BBQ, early stage gold exploration in the Chappie-Chibugumu district of Quebec, together with Epic Gold.
But if you're short on time, subscribe to our free newsletter, and once a week, we'll send you a five-minute summary of all interviews we put out, resourcetalks.com for a free weekly newsletter. Now, although this company has not paid us for the production of this video, you should still understand that we're not financial advisors, and this is not intended as financial advice. It is a broad, general, and impersonal piece of information intended only for those who know and understand the risks of junior mining, of which there are many. Before moving on, read the company's official filings on CedarPlus.ca and do your own due diligence. Pause the screen and read all the disclaimers I've shown you because your capital is at risk. If this isn't clear, go to the last section of this video for a longer explanation of the risks and biases. Do not consume this content if you don't agree with everything said therein. Moving on, Epic has, or as of recently, started focusing on the Fenton Gold Project, an orogenic gold system with structural controls and some polymetallic trades typical of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt. Again, it's located in Chappie, that's in Quebec's Shibugamoo District, and it's roughly 85 kilometers away from Shibugamoo itself. They just wrapped up a 4,000-meter diamond drill program in 10 holes there earlier this year, with assay results already having been released in May and confirming both narrow high-grade shoots at the Everest Zone, as well as broader mineralized envelopes extending beyond the historical main area. Yet this thing has been worked on historically, and of course, that's something we'll talk about later on.
Follow-up drilling on the additional geophysical targets identified in the work that they did last year is the main near-term catalyst and is expected to continue through the second half of this year, with results likely to determine whether the program expands or shifts emphasis toward tighter definition drilling. Of course, that's also something that I hope to be able to ask about later on in the conversation. Beyond this project, the Wilson and Benoist project in Quebec plus the Hawkins project in Ontario are held by the company under the same option agreement, but they're currently limited to desktop studies and looking at the data and compiling some of the models and whatnot based on some of the historical information rather than active drilling or fieldwork, but maybe a quick update on them later on in the conversation as well. Now, for some of the numbers and a bit of the details, Epic Gold is its new name, and the company is also listed under a new ticker symbol. Now, it's EPG on the CSE in Canada, where the average daily volume over the last three months has been about 106,000 units. The 52-week high is 43 cents and the 52-week low is 20 cents. With a little under 43 million shares outstanding now after a rollback and an $8.6 million market cap today, this is a 20-cent stock with a 50 and a 200-day moving average at, respectively, at 25 and 31 cents. The stock is now trading below those two. There are some options outstanding, but there are no warrants outstanding. The number of fully diluted shares is close to that 43 million shares outstanding. The last time Epic raised money was in December of last year when they closed two flow-through financings for a combined $2 million Canadian dollars.
But money is definitely going to be a topic, so how much money of that is left now? When will they be back to the market?
I'll be asking those questions later on in the conversation. But for this to become a conversation, I will unfortunately have to start shutting up already. And Rod, I'll give you the word, but first of all, thank you for sitting down with me.

**Rod Husband** (3:51)
Well, thanks for having me.

**SPEAKER_1** (3:53)
Pleasure is mine, and I am looking forward to this conversation. It seems like there's a bit of a rebuild, well, not a bit of a, there is a rebuild of the company, you roll it back, focusing on different projects. It seems like it's a whole different company now. So walk me through the idea for rebuilding this company and the game plan.
What is your typical exploration story or what is really going on?

**Rod Husband** (4:14)
Probably not typical exploration, but because we are somewhat unique in that when we exited Newfoundland, we got a block of stock in Newfound Gold, so we are fairly well funded. Sitting on now cash and shares worth about $7.5-8 million and fluctuating depending on how Newfound performs in a given day, which puts us ahead of most exploration companies. And in getting out of Newfoundland, we very much had a mandate to look for projects that had existing resources that had upside for various reasons, whether it hadn't been drilled to the full extent or the property itself contained other targets. So we identified three projects from Carchain. You mentioned Fenton, Wilson and Benoit. And then another one in Ontario, the Hawkins project. And all of those projects are very exciting. They are various levels of resources with significant upside, all of which needed to be reevaluated using what's commonly known as the mineral systems approach. So identify exactly what systems were at play to help you to target the gold. Because most companies use a target-based approach where they'll find a showing on surface, they'll sample it, they'll drill it, they hit some gold, and then they just start stepping out in both directions and at depth without really understanding what brought the gold there. Because that actually helps drive the exploration.
