What's up, everyone? Welcome to the 731st episode of the Pokemon Podcast. It's super effective at night. This is like the latest. We've recorded later, I'm sure. I'm your host, Steve. With me is Bobby.
**Bobby** (0:30)
Hello. I went to Best Buy today, and I checked out the new folding phone from Samsung that is supposed to rival the Apple one that comes out later this year. I got to say, I'm a fan.
I did not think I'd be a fan of the passport-sized folding phone, but it was very cool. I don't know.
**Austin** (0:50)
I guess I'll have to hold one to see.
**Steve Sarumi** (0:52)
Yeah. Yeah.
**Bobby** (0:53)
You gotta see it in person.
**Steve Sarumi** (0:54)
You're in the, because you're my age, you're in the age of like, I want a folding phone.
**Bobby** (1:01)
Yes. What do you mean?
**Steve Sarumi** (1:04)
Like it feels like, let's get a folding phone. Let's start golfing. Let's try some.
**Bobby** (1:12)
I have wanted a phone that opens up into like an iPad mini for years. And this essentially does that.
I don't know. We'll see. We'll see what Apple does in a couple of months.
**Austin** (1:23)
But I think it's too much phone.
**Bobby** (1:25)
You know what it is? It's too much money.
**Austin** (1:27)
Well, okay, that too.
**Bobby** (1:28)
$2,000, almost $2,000.
**Steve Sarumi** (1:31)
Austin also here.
**Austin** (1:33)
I've been playing Splatoon Raiders. That's all I got. Thank you.
**Steve Sarumi** (1:35)
Oh, okay.
**Bobby** (1:37)
Nice.
**Steve Sarumi** (1:38)
What if they added Pokemon to Splatoon Raiders?
**Austin** (1:41)
Now I'm in. Put Tentacle in there.
**Steve Sarumi** (1:45)
I feel like every time, Austin, you talk about a non-Pokémon game, you like regret purchasing it.
**Austin** (1:51)
No, I'll get about. Sure.
**Steve Sarumi** (1:53)
Yes.
**Austin** (1:54)
But I am enjoying this one though. I'm having a lot of fun.
**Bobby** (1:57)
More fun than Metroid?
**Austin** (1:58)
A lot more fun than Metroid.
**Steve Sarumi** (2:01)
Wait, you had Star Fox?
**Austin** (2:03)
Yeah, I finished it.
**Steve Sarumi** (2:04)
Did you like that one?
**Austin** (2:05)
Yeah, that was good.
**Bobby** (2:06)
You didn't even talk about that one. You didn't let us know about that on the podcast.
**Austin** (2:10)
I feel like I totally did. Maybe not on the podcast though. I don't know.
**Steve Sarumi** (2:15)
We do have a show for you guys today. We did not talk about the Scarlet & Violet news last week. I don't remember if it was because it came out after.
**Bobby** (2:25)
That's a good question. I think it did.
**Steve Sarumi** (2:27)
I think it might have. It goes until August 6th. By the time this podcast goes up, you'll still have more than a week to get it done. That's great. There's some more Pokemon Sleep news. Pokemon Sleep continues to deliver week after week. We should just re-brand as a full-on Pokemon Sleep podcast this week. Let's do it. Let's do it. Then we do have some TCG news, some regarding... Well, I guess both regarding Japan, but we now know the Rayquaza set coming out.
We did know for a while that there was going to be dual stadium cards. I don't know how else to say that. Two stadium cards need to be played to play one stadium.
We haven't talked about that yet. Then if you stick around for our bonus episode, we're going to talk about the Pokemon Soccer for Americans, Football for the Rest of the World collaboration that is also going to take place in August. That's the show. We are recording this on a Friday night, so there normally isn't any Pokemon news anyways on Saturday and Sunday. Not always. Sometimes there is Pokemon news on a Saturday and Sunday.
**Bobby** (3:36)
Sunday, yeah. It's always after we record.
**Steve Sarumi** (3:39)
Yes, it's always that. So we're recording this early because, one, GO Fest makeup is on Sunday, which is normally when we record. But two, Bobby, unlike me and Austin, actually has a life, and he is busy this weekend. So we're recording a little early.
We're also recording the other episode early, but we'll get to that later on in the show. Let's this cat, if you're watching the video podcast, this cat has serious separation anxiety.
Speaking of separation anxiety, I've had so much from Scarlet & Violet. I'm glad we're back. I think about this game constantly. The good, the bad, the leggy lake. That isn't leggy if you bought a Switch 2
**Austin** (4:32)
I'm not happy to be back here. I'll be honest.
**Steve Sarumi** (4:34)
