It's Jaqui, yeah, Jaqui. But no, so anyways, well, where I was going with that is it's kinda, it's cool because I can actually see, she sends, just like everybody else, she sends me her solves.

And in June, she was sending me solves that were way off. But as each iteration went, she actually got really, really close, and I think it was July 6th, she sent me almost the perfect solve. Like it was, she had all the pieces, she was just missing one of the numbers, putting that together, and that was July 6th.

This has never happened to me. That's never happened. Is The Double Take the old podcast show? That's the old podcast, yeah. You made a comment about it one time in the past three years, and you can't get it out of bed. I make one joke about it, okay. All right guys, we're here with the bonus episode of Cache Me Outside. I'm Caden, joined by Christian, Chad, and two special guests, John and Dave. The organizers of the Utah Treasure Hunt. So we're excited to dive in. We're grateful that they've agreed to come on and kind of talk through the Treasure Hunt and talk through some of the things that have frankly happened since the Treasure Hunt. So we're excited to dive in.

Christian (1:47)

What a treat that we get to have two episodes with you guys this season. If we could have more things happen so we can, I want like controversy every other week so we can just have you as regular guests.

Dave (1:58)

No, we're actually really excited to be here. We actually, you know, we were thinking, how do we want to address all this? And we were thinking about doing like an Ask Me Anything or whatever on Reddit, even though, I mean, that's a whole nother story, but we didn't create that subreddit. We've never posted on the subreddit. But I feel like this podcast has become kind of the voice of the Treasure Hunt by accident. And I feel like your vibes are kind of like the vibes of what we want for the hunt, you know, very casual and fun.

You guys are critical of us, but you know, like in good faith, it's not just, so anyways, yeah, we're happy to be here and hang out with you guys for a little bit.

John (2:34)

Yeah, excited to get into the questions and talk about Ja- Ja-qui-gate.

Chad (2:42)

Yeah, I've been pronouncing it Jaqui. I don't know why.

I don't know why.

Christian (2:46)

It's probably so hard for her to hear this.

Dave (2:50)

Jaqui, she's French.

Christian (2:52)

Oh, that's a good reason we should have trust her.

Chad (2:55)

Should we talk a little bit about the unfortunate timing of your song?

Christian (3:00)

Okay, yeah. We need to acknowledge this from the get-go.

Caden (3:02)

We want to start by apologizing.

Christian (3:05)

So it's Sunday night. I'm like, okay, guys, the season is over.

Caden (3:09)

We had already talked about what song, because we did a parody song last year, and we had talked about doing another one. And so we had already kind of had this idea.

Christian (3:18)

Yeah, I'm writing. I'm like, guys, this would be hilarious. Well, dude, you'll be back from Hamilton. Well, I'm like, John King George, and kind of being like, you'll be back for the QR hunt. Like, I know you're sad that you didn't get it, but like, it just as a total joke. And it was just such poor timing, because we literally get a picture of John as King George, and it's just like, you're all sore losers.

This is before we knew anything about kind of the stuff with Jaqui.

Chad (3:48)

We were focused on the song, and we really didn't hear about any of the controversy or anything.

Dave (3:53)

We didn't either, until the next day, really.

John (3:56)

Which is why I reposted your very terrific song, and then I got 60 or 70 very angry DMs of people like, I can't believe you're so arrogant to write a song, to make this video mocking us, especially with all the controversy.

So just to be clear, they had no connection to the song. John's not singing.
