Welcome to the VeryPink Knits Podcast, the companion podcast to the VeryPink Knits YouTube channel. I'm Staci and I'm here with Polly.

Hi friends.
Staci Perry (0:10)
If you would like to get your knitting question on the show, you can email it to podcast at verypink.com, and please tell us where you're from. And if you're enjoying the ad free show, please consider supporting it. You can go to patreon.com/verypinkknits for more information on that, and even jump in on a free seven day trial. And our yarn patron, as always, is Turtlepurl. Turtlepurl makes identical twins, self-striping sock yarns, and we are lucky enough to always have a coupon code. And she's very good about shipping from Canada. Emily's a very nice lady who makes beautiful yarns.
You jump in on the chats, and you start scrolling a little bit.
Polly Baker (0:47)
There they are.
Staci Perry (0:49)
Turtlepurl socks in all the colorways. So the link in the show notes to turtlepurl.com with the coupon code is also there.
Polly Baker (0:59)
How are you doing, Polly? I'm good.
Staci Perry (1:01)
Yeah?
Polly Baker (1:02)
Yeah, I mean, I'm not as good as last time because I didn't get to see Willie Nelson last weekend.
Staci Perry (1:06)
You can't see Willie Nelson every weekend, okay?
Polly Baker (1:09)
If only.
Staci Perry (1:09)
If only.
Polly Baker (1:12)
But I'm good.
Staci Perry (1:13)
So what's happening in lots of sports in your life, I think.
Polly Baker (1:16)
Really a lot of sports, but it's fall.
And so you know what? That's excellent.
Staci Perry (1:21)
Why?
Polly Baker (1:22)
It has cooled down. I don't know. Oh, oh, cooler weather. It has cooled down and it feels like we're getting into an autumnal rhythm now. Right.
Staci Perry (1:29)
We are, we're there in Texas, but you know, all things being relative, there's, it's just not in the 90s anymore, which is a big difference.
Polly Baker (1:41)
I mean, yeah, yeah. Do you know what changed our weather last week?
Staci Perry (1:45)
That hurricane in the Pacific, like came over land or Mexico, I guess over Mexico and changed, cooled our weather down a little bit in Texas. Is that crazy?
Polly Baker (1:57)
Weather's crazy.
Weather is, weather's crazy. Yeah. Yeah.
Staci Perry (2:01)
I took it.
Polly Baker (2:01)
Yeah.
Staci Perry (2:01)
I was happy with that. And it is, I mean, it feels different. It's not as humid. Like I've made so many beautiful things that I want to wear. That's mostly what I'm excited about.
Polly Baker (2:12)
Yes. Well, I've been wearing wool socks and I just am eternally grateful every time I get to put a pair on.
Staci Perry (2:17)
And part of that is how comfortable it is. You don't have to wear wool socks with like Polly's looking very fashionable in her clogs and her wool socks. But like I wear them for dog walks with my running shoes.
There's a lot of comfort there. It feels really good on your feet.
Polly Baker (2:34)
Yes.
Staci Perry (2:35)
Yeah, I'm not there yet. I'm still wearing little shorty athletic socks.
With my running shoes. Yeah.
Polly Baker (2:41)
Nobody wants to do that. Sometimes we just have to because it's hot.
Staci Perry (2:44)
It's not horrible. I don't mind little shorty running socks, but yeah, wool socks are better.
Polly Baker (2:51)
We're almost there.
Staci Perry (2:51)
We're almost there.
Polly Baker (2:53)
So what are you working on?
I'm working on my secret test knit, and it's great. I'm just sad that I can't share it with you guys.
Staci Perry (3:01)
You're doing a very good job of not sharing it because I would be tempted.
Polly Baker (3:06)
I'm really not a good secret keeper. I feel like that needs to be in the application for a secret test knit. Are you a good secret keeper? It's not, right? It's not in there.
I mean, they do say you have to promise not to tell.
Staci Perry (3:17)
What is all the hush about it? What's the big deal? You could actually give them some pre-sale publicity if you were able to talk about it.
Polly Baker (3:27)
I will be able to talk about it. Of course, you will. Before it's released, I'll be able to talk about it, but I can't now.
Think of the types of things that take a long time to be released.
Staci Perry (3:40)
Yeah.
Polly Baker (3:41)
Then imagine that this thing is in one of those.
Staci Perry (3:45)
Okay. Sweaters take a long time.
Polly Baker (3:47)
So vague. You know how people go on Facebook and they say some random vague thing. I can't talk about it. Yes, that. I don't want to be that girl with my knitting, but sorry guys. It's not sad. It's real pretty.
