Welcome back to another episode of Conversations with Cam. Today is like not necessarily a friendship series episode because we're not talking about like our specific friendship, but it's a friend in my life here to chit chat and unpack a bunch of things around motherhood, PMDD, ADHD, mom rage, grief, like all of the different things that she is navigating right now in this phase of her life. Amanda Jones Vaughan, if you don't know her, she's amazing. She, as I say in this episode, is like a bubbly ray of sunshine that just feels like happy and easy and someone you want to be around. I will say trigger warning, we talk about grief in terms of her losing her mother. I just want to put that out there if you are in a similar situation and just not in a place to listen to that conversation. But Amanda is amazing. She's so fun. Everyone should follow her. She is also the queen of vintage shopping in a way that I'm like, how do you find these things? How do you put these habits together? You always look so put together. I am amazed and couldn't be me and I love consuming it.

Without further ado, here is Amanda.

Hi, guys. Really fast before we dive into today's episode, I want to chat about a new product of Quiet Your Mind and Busier Hands, the What the Fuck is Happening to My Body edition. This is truly something I'm so proud of. My mom was going through it yesterday, and she was like, I dare I say, this is the best one yet, like so impressive. So I want to quickly just give a rundown of what it is. It is our standard adult, Quiet Your Mind and Busier Hands Journal and Adult Coloring Affirmation book in the sense that it has 30 journal prompts and 30 coloring affirmations. What is different about this one is that it is specifically focused on pregnancy. So it's broken down by trimester, first trimester, second trimester, third trimester and fourth trimester. In each trimester, it has like a little bit of text. If you're watching on Spotify or YouTube, you're seeing this. And I'm sorry, I'm so out of breath because literally what the is happening to my body. But in the text, it talks about like that trimester and potential symptoms that you may be experiencing and what I experienced. And again, just like what the actual hell is happening. And then there are week by week tracking pages. So symptoms, emotions, highs, lows that go through every week. And then all of the journal prompts and the coloring affirmations are focused actually on pregnancy, which I love. And like we really tried to do them by that trimester. So like, I am doing enough. I trust my body to honor what to do. My body changes are beautiful. And then journal prompts, like I can honor my body's limits this week, bye.

So, you get the idea, I love it so much. I'm so proud of this product. I get so many questions asking, what should I get my friend who just announced that they're pregnant? And like this is such, such an easy gift that also will like be there for them to help them emotionally through this process and something for them to reflect back on afterwards. Because I know I love seeing like where my brain was at at certain points of pregnancy. So you can get your copy at quietyourmind.com.

That'll be in the show notes. And thank you so much for the support on this product and our entire line. I really appreciate it. Now let's get into the episode. I have to say people are really pumped for this.

Amanda Jones Vaughan (3:48)

Oh really? Yes. Oh, honored. Yeah, tell me what to do. Thank you.

Cameron Oaks Rogers (3:52)

Well, first, Margie was like, you better tell her how much I love her.

Amanda Jones Vaughan (3:56)

Number one PR person. Thank you, Margie.

Cameron Oaks Rogers (3:59)

Honestly, same. Like I feel the same way about her. She's like always, but that's, I think so much her vibe, just like pumping everyone up. She's the best.

Amanda Jones Vaughan (4:08)

I don't know. It's a classic. I don't know how she has the time or the bandwidth, but she is there for everyone.

Cameron Oaks Rogers (4:14)

I feel that way about you too.

Amanda Jones Vaughan (4:15)

Thank you.

Cameron Oaks Rogers (4:15)

I look at the two of you, I'm like, how the fuck do you poor kids? I don't understand.

Amanda Jones Vaughan (4:20)

We're like a tornado of love and empowerment, but then also we crash out together in a good way.
