Back in your life on this Monday, October 19th, 2016, hello again, everyone. I sure hope you're doing well. I hope that you all had a lovely, lovely weekend. We have so much to get into. There were some people who were saying it was a relatively quiet weekend in combat sports.

Not true. A lot has happened in the world of combat. We have a lot to get to on today's program. And I love this particular date. I love this particular date because my friends, 19 years ago today, yes, 19 years ago today, I officially decided to go all in on this little thing called Combat Sports Reporting. I launched a website called jarripark.com after leaving Spike TV. It says October 21st, 2007, but I really turned the lights on on October 19th. October 3rd is the date where I, you know, said goodbye to my Montreal Expos, and I explained that that kind of killed my love of sports. Of course, in 24 hours, I'm about to go to Madison Square Garden to watch my beloved New York Knicks raise a banner with my own two eyes. I never thought I'd see it. Anyway, Jerry Park launched, if you remember, I've told this story before. I gave myself six months to get noticed and do all these interviews and reach out to people via my space. And for some reason, this date always sticks with me, October 19th, 2007

It really began in September of 2001 when I launched the main event radio show at Syracuse University, which no one listened to. But then there was, you know, the TV production stuff in the middle. So for me, October 19th is the real beginning or the second beginning or just the sort of launch of it all, if you know what I'm saying. And then MMA radio came and all that stuff. So happy anniversary, happy 19th anniversary to me and Jerry Park. It's still up, by the way, if you want to peruse jerrypark.com. I also want to say a big congratulations to our own GC and camera guy Nick finishing a half marathon earlier this week on Saturday, to be exact. Unbelievable time. What was it, like an hour and 40 or something crazy like that?

SPEAKER_3 (3:16)

An hour and 38 An hour and 38 is insane. Where are the pics?

SPEAKER_1 (3:19)

Where are the pics?

I told you, I needed a pic of you pointing. I wrote in the slack. I thought you were...

SPEAKER_3 (3:24)

Come on, I didn't see this. It's been a busy morning over here at Uncrowned HQ.

SPEAKER_1 (3:28)

I had the, did you guys see the pic? There's the pic of him pointing, but it's like the subtle, like the biceps are just freaking. I mean, we nailed it.

SPEAKER_3 (3:36)

We had to do four laps, so I kind of got where the camera guy was at.

SPEAKER_1 (3:40)

Okay.

SPEAKER_3 (3:41)

So then I started, you know, hand-

SPEAKER_1 (3:42)

Crushing it with the cutoff.

SPEAKER_3 (3:44)

Oh, yeah. I had to hit the tank, show the guns off, baby, what we've been working on.

SPEAKER_1 (3:48)

So what is that? So an hour and 38 for a what? 13.1?

SPEAKER_3 (3:52)

13.1, seven and a half minute mile.

SPEAKER_2 (3:55)

Holy.

SPEAKER_3 (3:56)

Yeah, I was dying out on the last-

SPEAKER_1 (3:58)

Seven point- On the last, like, two-

SPEAKER_3 (3:59)

That's crazy. That's crazy. Legs were shot. I was texting y'all early on and I was like, I'm feeling good. We're kind of cruising right now. Yeah, the last three miles were hell.

SPEAKER_1 (4:09)

Pete, you know what's the most impressive part about this? Guy runs the half marry.

Do they call it that in the biz?

SPEAKER_3 (4:14)

Yeah, that's a typical phrase.

SPEAKER_1 (4:16)

Guy runs the half marry, literally six hours later hosting a housewarming party. First two people there, Rick and I, NBD, no one else showed up from the game.
