Lern was supposed to stay at a Dolly Parton-themed hotel. That sentence alone sounds magical. Unfortunately, the hotel wasn’t finished.

Check them out on www.dollyparton.com. So Lern, you were going to stay in that Dolly Parton themed hotel.
Lern (0:37)
Storyteller.
Rizz (0:38)
That wasn't an Airbnb, that was a hotel.
Lern (0:41)
Yeah, it's right downtown, kind of across from the stadium down there.
Rizz (0:45)
And it just wasn't done.
Lern (0:47)
It wasn't done. We booked it in December. It was supposed to be done June of 2026, and then we got a call a week before we got down there early August that, hey, it's still not ready to be lived in, which really was a bummer, but we'll get down there eventually.
Rizz (0:59)
And obviously, they gave you your money back or you didn't pay for it.
Lern (1:01)
Yeah, we didn't. And they were very accommodating. They were like, Tim was on the phone with a woman for a long time. She's like, if you need anything, we can help you with anything else you could need. And we're like, we're fine. We don't need help.
Rizz (1:13)
Oh, that's cool because you were down there for the Foo Fighters, and I'm sure...
Lern (1:18)
Things were booked up.
Rizz (1:19)
Things were booked up, so they were willing to help.
Lern (1:21)
Yeah, they were like, if you need accommodations, we can help with all of our connections.
Rizz (1:24)
That's the Dolly way.
Lern (1:25)
And it really was. And we ended up just kind of doing it ourselves, in an Airbnb. It worked out.
Rizz (1:29)
Now, has anybody ever stated at a themed Airbnb before?
Rafe (1:33)
Well, there's a couple. I saw on Instagram that Carl and Dolly's cabin that has not been touched since like the 60s or 70s, and it's cool in there. They wanted to preserve it when they bought it when...
It was like one of the first things she bought when they first got married.
Rizz (1:48)
Is it up for Airbnb-ing?
Rafe (1:49)
They were talking about... The family's talking about...
They had pictures on Instagram. They're considering making it an Airbnb destination, which I think would be cool. You can get Burt Reynolds' houseboat in Key West, Florida, on Airbnb, and it's the Smoky and the Bandit houseboat. It's got like the Trans Am thing on it. It's old, but it's been...
Rizz (2:09)
I never even thought about staying in a themed Airbnb.
Lern (2:12)
I'm sure I have. I just, I can't... Nothing's coming to my mind, but I love that. I love a theme type of like that, like a haunted something or another.
Rizz (2:20)
If your normal Airbnb is getting too boring for you, how about spending the night in the actual house where Buffalo Bill lived in Silence of the Lambs?
Lern (2:30)
Is the pit there?
Rizz (2:31)
So the actual Victorian house they used to film the movie back in 1991, it's located right outside of Pittsburgh in a town called Periopolis, Periopolis, Pennsylvania. It's an official boutique vacation rental now.
Lern (2:45)
That's so great.
Moon (2:46)
What a stupid name. Like dude, if I was reading a book and was like, John lived in Periopolis, I was like, what an idiot. It's like Metropolis.
Lern (2:54)
Is Metropolis stupid?
Rizz (2:55)
Yeah, but you know the town founder, Peri.
Lern (2:57)
Periopolis.
Rafe (2:58)
Let's call it Periville. He's like, no, no, that's not magnificent enough.
Lern (3:04)
And a little opolis.
Rafe (3:05)
Peri town, you're getting closer. Periopolis.
I don't know, it seems a little over the top.
SPEAKER_5 (3:12)
It has a certain NSA quality to it.
Moon (3:15)
Well, I can do what I want. It's Periopolis.
Rizz (3:17)
It's Periopolis.
Lern (3:18)
Periopolis sounds like a disease you can get from like too much sex.
Moon (3:22)
Peri was a dork, that's for sure.
Rizz (3:25)
Periopolis. Well, that's where this place is, Periopolis.
Rafe (3:29)
Now, it's Periopolis from The Waist Down.
Rizz (3:32)
It sleeps up to eight people, so you could pull a whole crew together if your friends aren't too terrified to sleep under the same roof.
So here's where it gets wild. So in the original movie, the basement scenes with the well were actually filmed on a sound stage. But the guy who bought the house brought in a legendary horror special effects artist to construct a real interactive well. That's excellent. Set right inside the basement.
Lern (3:59)
I love it. I think it's great.
Rafe (4:01)
It's awesome. I looked at the website and it's awesome.
Rizz (4:04)
It's great. There are different packages available.
Moon (4:06)
All of my horror friends would love this.
Rafe (4:08)
There's a giant throw rug on the floor when you walk in of him with his thing tucked like dancing. And they had the image of him printed on this giant throw rug. Like it is there. They've gone all in on this house.
