Welcome to Corolla Classics, I'm your host, Superfan Giovanni. This is the podcast where we play with best moments, highlights and fans like the clips from all 17 years of the Adam Carolla Show. If you'd like to gain access to the ad-free archives of the Adam Carolla Show, the Adam and Dr. Drew Show, as well as the newer podcast, Be The Vow, make sure to check out Adam Carolla's sub stack, adamcarolla.substack.com. If you'd like to request a clip, please e-mails, classics.adamcarolla.com. Please note, we cannot play any material from Love Line or the KALISX Adam Carolla Show that ran from 2006 to 2009, that immediately precedes this podcast. Select moments and clips from those shows have been played on the podcast, which we can then play from those episodes as fair use when they come up in old clips, but we can't play long form clips or exact chunks from those shows. Only stuff Adams commented on air and made it to a transformer. If you have any questions about Old Love Line or the KALISX Adam Carolla Show, I've been remastering and restoring the archive for both of those shows for over 20 years. I'm almost complete. If you have any questions or need more information, patreon.com/giovanni, I'll help you out.

All right, let's get to the clips. Come up first, we have Adam Carolla Show 1305, featuring Jo Koy, 7 Horse, Matt Atchity, Alison Rosen and Bryan Bishop for 2014

Alison Rosen (1:28)

So we have some exciting calls, but we also have a Rotten Tomatoes game. Oh, yes. I don't know which one you want to do. Should we do the game?

Jo Koy (1:34)

Let's do the game.

Alison Rosen (1:34)

I think it's more fun. The game.

Jo Koy (1:36)

All right.

Bryan Bishop (1:36)

We have an intro song that everyone loves.

Jo Koy (1:38)

Let's do it. Rotten Tomatoes, the game.

Matt Atchity.

Matt Atchity (2:49)

Yes.

Jo Koy (2:49)

Did I say it right?

Matt Atchity (2:50)

You did.

Jo Koy (2:51)

Joe, can you explain the game?

Bryan Bishop (2:52)

Have you played the game with us?

Jo Koy (2:53)

I've never played it ever.

Matt Atchity (2:54)

So I'm going to list off movies that have a theme and everybody is going to write down what score they think the movie got on the tomato meter, which measures how many positive reviews. It's not an average. It's a percentage of positive reviews for any movie.

So you figure out, you make a guess, you write it down. Everybody says their answer. And the person who gets closest wins that round. But it's ultimately the score is the winner of the game is the one who has the lowest aggregate score.

Alison Rosen (3:24)

I didn't realize that's what the measurement was. Oh, yeah. Yeah. So if it's 31, that means of 100 reviews, 31 were positive.

Matt Atchity (3:31)

31% of the critics liked it.

Alison Rosen (3:34)

This changes nothing. OK, so we all write our thing down.

Matt Atchity (3:39)

Yeah, no one cheats. OK, no one cheats. Let's do it. All right. So since he's got a new movie in theaters since the critics don't like it, Transcendence, the movie starring Johnny Depp, we're going to go with Johnny Depp movies.

Bryan Bishop (3:52)

Nice.

Matt Atchity (3:53)

First up, 1998's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Bryan Bishop (3:59)

Did you guys see this movie?

Matt Atchity (4:00)

Yes.

Bryan Bishop (4:01)

Love this movie.

Jo Koy (4:01)

So what are we doing here?

Bryan Bishop (4:02)

You're going to write your score down. What you think the Ron Tomato score is.

Patton Oswalt (4:06)

And then when everybody's written down.

Matt Atchity (4:07)

Right. And once everybody's got it written, everybody goes around and says what they're.

Jo Koy (4:10)

But the score we're talking about, percentage or tomatoes wise?

Matt Atchity (4:13)

Yeah.

Alison Rosen (4:13)

What the score is. What the tomato meter rating is. The percentage on the tomato meter.

Bryan Bishop (4:17)

He was simply explaining what the tomato meter is, but you will try and guess the score.

Alison Rosen (4:20)

Got you. The tomato meter is right there. Yeah.

Bryan Bishop (4:22)

Try and call this 51% for Joe Black. Meet Joe Black.

Jo Koy (4:25)

Okay. Let's do this.

Bryan Bishop (4:28)

I'm ready. I already know.

Alison Rosen (4:31)

I have her number as well.

Jo Koy (4:32)

I already know. We're allowed to use our iPhones, correct?

Alison Rosen (4:34)

No. My bad. Why not?

Jo Koy (4:37)

Because I would have been exactly right.

Bryan Bishop (4:40)

What's your score, Joe? What do you think it is?

Jo Koy (4:41)
