Hello everybody, welcome to a very special, in-person edition of the Rotoworld Football Show. I'm Patrick Daugherty, joined by my two close friends, Kyle Dvorchak, Lawrence Jackson.

We got a little Jerry-rigged arrangement, as you can see here. We hope it sounds good. We know it looks good, because Lawrence and Kyle are in the shot. We are at Draft Nation 2026, Circus Sports, Las Vegas, Nevada, National Draft Weekend, folks, isn't that right?

Yeah, it's a national holiday now. August 21st is now the official holiday of Fantasy Football Draft Day, so we get to be a part of it.

**Patrick Daugherty** (0:53)
There was a proclamation and everything, Mr. Rick Wolf and company put it together. Big props to them. Big props to you for listening to us, though. We're going to talk about our experience in Vegas. We're going to talk about our favorite pick in each of the first eight rounds or so, depending on time. We come right back after this.

Have either of you pulled the lever on a slot machine yet? That was kind of, honestly, my only goal for the trip, I haven't done it yet.

**Kyle Dvorchak** (1:24)
I was going to say for the listeners, this has been the only top of conversation of the trip too, is just we walk through the casino and Pat's like, I like the design of that slot machine. No lever though. They do that one just on a little keypad. So I wouldn't do that one. And then he sees a big lever and you can tell it'd be like kind of a chunky one, like as it's pulled down and he kind of, a little sparkle goes off in your eye when you see the lever.

**Patrick Daugherty** (1:46)
The lever is the whole point of the money is actually to set it there.

**Lawrence Jackson** (1:48)
I haven't got to the lever pulling yet, you know.

**Patrick Daugherty** (1:51)
No lever pulling?

I really like the Buffalo ones. I'm going to be.

The Buffalo slot machines are amazing. But what about the event? A lot of great friends here, people all over the industry, Matthew Barry's Fantasy Life, CBS Sports, just all over. We're meeting and greeting.

We've been drafting. We did a best ball draft. Lawrence knows absolutely everybody.

**Lawrence Jackson** (2:13)
Getting something like that. I don't think I know everybody.

That's actually a better way to put it. That is a good point.

There are rounds and drafts. There are 12 players in each round. The first round is where drafts are won or lost. So far, this year, Kyle ran on the first round. We've got, of course, Jamir Gibbs, Bajan Robinson, the top of every draft. There's Pooka Nakua, Jamar Shea, so he's coming up right after him. Jayson, CMC, in that order. Then it's a little less predictable. Manra, St. Brown, Jonathan Taylor, CD. Lamb, James Cook, Justin Jefferson, Ashton Gentey, Lawrence. Those are the 12 players comprising the first round right now. Which of those 12 are your favorite click on the board?

**Lawrence Jackson** (3:48)
For me, it's Christian McCaffrey, and that's because I'm not going to go into my drafts nervous about potential injuries. Like, the guy can catch 100 passes from the running back position. He stays healthy. He'll be running back one or running back two again, just simply based off of that, especially we're talking PPR. So for me, because I could get CMC outside of the top five, I feel like in any year where he's, I don't think he's not coming off in Achilles or anything like that. So if you get him outside the top five, I'm cool with that.
