Travis (0:00)
So, Mike, I will explain this to the listeners, but also to them.
Kirkland (0:04)
Does he list characters?
SPEAKER_3 (0:06)
Holy fuck.
SPEAKER_4 (0:07)
Um, all right.
Travis (0:10)
So, which is good, because I told you what Travis told you, and then Mike posed a question, and I was like, oh, we should do this as a main topic. And this question pretty much makes the main topic. So, I think this is a fun one. I'm gonna do the writing down. Okay, are you listening closely? Are you watching closely?
Okay, time for a live god game. This time, Secret Wars Edition.
SPEAKER_3 (0:30)
I gotta do a show more.
Travis (0:30)
Okay, take these 12 possible Secret Wars character pairings.
SPEAKER_5 (0:36)
Come on, Start again.
Kirkland (0:38)
Rough start. Take these 64,000 characters.
SPEAKER_3 (0:44)
Well, channel my Alfred Molina here.
Travis (0:47)
Take these 12 possible Secret Wars character pairings and put four in each of the three categories below.
All right, so it's the same thing as usual. There's three categories. You gotta put them below.
Kirkland (1:01)
Yes, I understood the categories.
SPEAKER_4 (1:02)
Okay, relax. It's coming.
Travis (1:05)
Pairings, for this god game, you choose the pairings.
Each of you take turns by taking your four most desired ones in a snake dress format. Can't repeat the pairing someone else takes. Once you have 12, time to categorize. So you're understanding, he didn't put in the 12 characters. We're putting them in.
Taylor (1:25)
Individually or collectively?
Travis (1:27)
Individually. So it's gonna be like...
Taylor (1:28)
Like a snake draft.
Travis (1:29)
So we'll do a quick wheel and we'll figure it out. We'll just go this way. We'll go this way.
Taylor (1:32)
But if you take a hero, I can't take a hero?
Travis (1:34)
No, it's the pairings.
SPEAKER_3 (1:35)
It's a pairings.
Travis (1:37)
Give me an example. Because how this brought on, right, was I can't remember which character it was. Let's just say it was, let's just say it was like Toad Maguire and Downey, right? I don't think that was it, but we're talking about like Toad Maguire and Hugh Jackman, how I'd want that to have a lot of time. And I think I mentioned one. And then Mike was like, well, I don't think that combination is really like gonna get much play. And it's a question of, okay, in Infinity War and Endgame, you had these combos, right? Like Thor, the Guardian, and like, who's like a Nebula? Yeah, or like Strange, Strange, Strange, Strange, Strange, Spidey and Downey, right? When they were together in Infinity War for a while on the ship.
So we're talking about like, hey, which characters would have that and which characters would have like a smaller one? Or just a moment where I use the example of like, I was talking about two characters that said, oh, all I need is like an I am Groot moment where, you know, oh, I am Groot, I am Steve Rogers. So that's why he's trying to say like, we're gonna make our pairs, and then we're organized. Okay, that's a key one that has to have a lot of times. This is a middle ground one, and this is one where it's like, not the greatest, but it's like lower, right?
Kirkland (2:38)
It's just two, right? It's not like you're doing a group of three.
Travis (2:41)
No, yeah, only a group of two. So we're all gonna put in four. I'm ready. Hang on. It's a confusion. Hang on, the categories, full storyline together with significant screen time, light interactions with minimal screen time together, never interact or knowledge of the other existence. There are plenty of other possible pairing options, so feel free to use this as a springboard discussion of interactions you most wanna see, which are the ones that are the realistic possibilities and runtime restrictions of the movie.
Taylor (3:04)
And we're getting points for this, if we were right?
Travis (3:05)
No.
Mike (3:07)
It's what we want.
Travis (3:08)
It's our likes and dislikes.
Kirkland (3:10)
Alfred Molina.
SPEAKER_8 (3:12)
We could, with Alfred Molina.
SPEAKER_5 (3:14)
He plays different versions.
Kirkland (3:16)
But this one is Egyptian.
Travis (3:18)
Hey, they own Indiana Jones, so they could take that character.
SPEAKER_8 (3:20)
Doc Ock.
Travis (3:22)
Um, okay, Secret Wars parents.
Kirkland (3:25)
Alfred Molina's Doc Ock and Alfred Molina's whatever nationality he is.
Travis (3:30)
What is that movie you watch? Yeah. Iranian music. I know your aunt.
Okay, so we're gonna do...
Kirkland (3:36)
All right, people, let's get back to work.
Travis (3:39)
Oh, thank God.
SPEAKER_3 (3:40)
All right, people, let's go.
