On this episode of the show, it's our first mock draft with Yahoo. Yes, Hayden and I draft 7th and 8th on the board, but boy, do our strategies differ. One goes heavy running back, one goes heavy wide receivers, and it's with nine of you. Yes, nine of our listeners we get to draft with. Some really amazing picks, many snipes, plus Eric Froton delivers his preview of CFF at the end. So stay tuned. I want all of you to take a moment, close your eyes, and think of the best sporting event that you've ever attended, that instead of just sitting on your couch watching on television, you actually went to the game. For me, I was in college, Steph Curry Davidson was playing the NCAA tournament against Georgetown in Raleigh. It was like Patrick Ewing Jr, all these like 6'11 guys versus Steph Curry and these 6'7 dudes. And I was like, I have to go see this. I have to go see the guy that is launching shots from half court, even if they have no chance to win. And guess what? They won. And it was so much better because I was actually there versus sitting at home. And you can be there in the action by using game time. College football is coming up, NFL preseason to watch your favorite rookies. It's all available here on game time. It's not just that. Like I am scrolling to see what is available this weekend in my area.
I can go see Hilary Duff if I want to or the Dirty Govnas. I mean, whatever you want, it's here on game time. So get your friends together, get your tickets and tell them it's game time. Download, yes, the game time app. Create an account and use code fantasy for $20 off your first purchase. Terms apply. Again, create an account and redeem the code F-A-N-T-A-S-Y for $20 off. Find college football and NFL matchups on game time and download the app today. Oh yes, it is mock draft day. Not just me, not just Hayden and not just Producer Weaves, but nine of you. Yes.
I sent out a feeler. I sent out a tweet. And nine lovely people from this community, from our viewership, joined in on this mock draft. It is full point PPR. You've been asking for that. Two running backs, two wide receivers and two flex with no kickers in defense.
Hayden, how are you feeling?
**Hayden Winks** (2:13)
Feeling good. I see that we have beef candy has joined the mock draft with us. Happy to have beef candy here.
Yeah, full PPR. And then Josh, I was looking around the draft board here. And then in the drop downs, I see that you could have our rankings individually right there on the site. So you guys can choose if you want Josh's rankings, my rankings, the consensus around Yahoo's rankings or just, you know, the default rankings.
**Josh Norris** (2:36)
Yeah, this is why you need Yahoo Plus because you get to decide if you want to pick from Hayden's brain or my brain. And we get a notification every single time who picks who. So I better be in the lead of that one. Or, you know, you can pick from Harman or Pianowski or Justin Gouda or Joel Smith at the same time. That might be smart as well to get a different opinion than what we have. Yeah, I'm going to be zooming in and figuring out the draft board and everything else as we go along. We're about to kick off here.
Some amazing names in this group, Stun a Goat, Fins Up the Villa, Why Banana L-Way, again, nine of you. And if you auto-draft, you're banished to the Shadow Realm for eternity. So that better not happen to those people. But yeah, I can't wait to do this.
It's really our first draft, I think, together since maybe June. So we'll see. I mean, we're going to talk through even more training camp updates that have happened since the last 24 hours that we have, you know, gone through an entire show. So this is going to be a good one to figure out for sure. Since the vast majority of our conversation is about half PPR, how much does it change your strategy from the eight spot in full PPR?
**Hayden Winks** (3:40)
I think it's kind of twofold. It's also how many wide receiver slash flex spots do you have? If you're only starting two wide receivers, which is the Yahoo default, then that makes those wide receivers less valuable. If there's now in our league, we have up to four wide receivers, up to four running backs, it evens out. But half PPR makes the quarterbacks devalued. Then in the first round or so, you can break ties like in a Monrod versus a Jonathon Taylor, like those type of things by all means. But still, there's some level of scarcity with the running back points in the first couple of rounds.
