So there's a new open source version of Dots. And if you're not familiar with Dots, Dots is ChatGPT's new AI agent that just dropped this week, right? The only problem is it's not open source, right? So if you're using ChatGPT Dots, you can see an example of it right here. And this is kind of like their own version of OpenClaw. It's kind of very similar to OpenClaw. And you can use this inside ChatGPT, it's just trouble. Let me show you an example of what it looks like in reality. So if we go to work over here, you can see that we've set up Big J, and Big J is an AI agent, as you can see. So we can work with AI agents, and it comes in, gives us ideas, tells us what we're working on, et cetera, what's going on.

And the cool thing about this is, you can have phone calls with the AI agents, you can speak to them, but the only downside is that you can't change your model. There's not much flexibility, and also it's not open source. So along came open dots.

So if you're looking for like a free open source version for your AI agents, this just dropped. Now it's from CopilotKit, and it's pretty easy. You can just get the GitHub details and then give it to your AI agent to set up. And once you've set up, it's going to look something like you can see right here. So this is a bit how it looks. It's kind of a little bit similar to Muse. This is kind of like the next generation of AI agents, I would say as well. So you've got Muse, you've got Dots, you have Manus, and now you've got Open Dots as well, Grockbar. You know, all these AI agents that just come with a nice UI, as you can see here. Now, one thing that you'll notice with Dots on Chat Cheapity is that it actually has its own computer. So you can actually have and give your AI agents their own computer that can run in the cloud 24-7 for you over here, which is pretty cool.

And so you can basically give your AI agents tasks. You can even call it, and then it can operate the computer use, right? Now, you can actually do that with Open Dots as well.

So you can see some examples of what we've created recently, some of the dots that we've set up over here. And then if we go to the computer sign in the top right, what you can do is you can set up your own Composio API with this.

And when you're running your own Composio API, it basically has its own computer running in the cloud with your AI agents. Now, you might be thinking, okay, well, what's better then? Is it Open Dots or is it dots? Let me talk you through the pros and the cons here.

So the first thing that's really useful about Chat Cheapity, in particular of dots, is it knows you. It has all your history, right? So everything that you've been working on, everything that you've done with Chat Cheapity in the past, it has full access to that history, which means that the whole experience is super personalized to you, super personalized to what you want and, you know, what you're working on and everything else. Now, that is quite different to something like Open Dots, which is pretty cool. You know, it's a great idea. But at the same time, it doesn't have any history or memories of you unless you have a second brain set up. So if you have something like Obsidian, well, you can actually plug Obsidian directly into Dots, and that would actually probably have a better memory because it runs across all your AI agents, not just Chat Cheapity. But most people, they don't have that set up. Now also, what you can do here is you can configure local models or your own models directly to open Dots. So for example, we could use LFM 2.5 Latest, that's what we've got plugged into this, but we could use anything with this. So you get a lot more choice over the models versus something like Dots, where you just don't get as much customization over the model you're gonna use, right? You're gonna have to stick to Chat Cheapity's models. The other thing I would say is the UI is much nicer on Chat Cheapity.

So, you know, if you pull this up, it just looks clean, it looks smooth. This is what you're gonna get when it's closed, right? Whereas, for example, of open source, you're just not gonna get that sort of stuff normally, right? It's gonna be kind of more difficult to open stuff like this up. And also, if you have a look at open dots here, I think for someone non-technical, this would be pretty difficult to use. It'd be kind of confusing to use. Now, you can add all your typical plugins to this as well. So, you can see all these plugins over here. And you can also add a Composio API in the app settings as well, which is super useful. And then you can see everything that's been done previously too. So, you can use open models. You could also change the whole UI of this as well, if you wanted to. So, you could go into Claude or whatever your preferred AI agent is, and just say, can you change this? Can you switch that up? Can you mix this up, et cetera. But I do think it's great that they've got an open source version of dots. And also, a lot of people, they might, you know, you might be using Claude or you might be using local models, and therefore, you're just never going to use something like dots. And therefore, you know, open dots is in a way better, right?
