So in this video, I'm going to show you how to build an MCP server, a Model Context Protocol server. And basically, what this does is it gives a toolbox to your AI system so that your artificial intelligence can go and do a lot of cool things. Oh, wait a minute, that's not what people want to hear about? Oh, I'm sorry, this is YouTube. People don't want to come here for things like coding in Python and MCP servers. No, no, we have got to scream about stupid stuff going on with the Frontier Labs. I'm so sorry. I forgot what I was doing for a moment. Anyways, I am actually working on some code for a class. Hopefully, we'll be coming up in Baltimore in, I don't know, a period of time. The Silicon Dojo concept is coming back, and I am working on that, because that's what I actually care about. This is, oh lordy, this is what I actually care about. But nobody cares. Nobody cares! So let's scream about these stupid things. That will actually pay me money. I do videos teaching you folks how to build MCP servers, and build out your AI stack, and basically my channel is going to die. I scream about the stupid things that Sam Altman is doing, and holy hell, you all throw the cash at me. Because that's, that's how the world actually works. So anyways, I don't know. This is, this is curious. Can we say this is curious? Coming from Gizmodo and other sites too. No OpenAI IPO until the AI stops going rogue, CEO Sam Altman says. OpenAI has quote, got to be able to make confident safety claims before an IPO, Altman told reporters. So this is kind of interesting going on right now, again, in the AI world. Do remember that OpenAI was the front runner. It was the first mover. Everybody else was an also ran. If we go back about a year or a year and a half ago, Anthropic was literally considered cute. Right? OpenAI was the AI company, and Anthropic was playing around with coding tools.
Now we are in, my god, almost October. I think we're in September. The end of September of 2026, SpaceX has already IPO. They're sitting about $2.01 trillion right now, which is its own thing. So they've already IPO'd. Anthropic now looks like they're going to be IPO-ing in November. So they're saying maybe September, October. Now it looks pretty confident that they're going to be IPO-ing in November for about $2 trillion. I wouldn't look into it much with Anthropic's IPO being pushed back by like a month or so. Do remember, with everything, whether you are going to try to destroy all of humanity, or you're going to try to IPO your company that's going to try to destroy all of humanity, right, mechanisms are involved, bureaucracy is involved, paperwork. There is so much paperwork involved. So with Anthropic's IPO getting pushed by like a couple of weeks or a month, really, I would not look too much into that. So what's interesting now is we now have OpenAI, who seems to be the also ran, who seems to be the also ran at this point in time, right? Previously, Sam Altman has come out and said that the IPO for OpenAI is going to get pushed into 2027 So the CFO was trying to push OpenAI's IPO into 2027 Sam Altman was trying to pull their IPO into 2026 Sam Altman stated, I guess it was a week or so ago, they were going to be pushing the IPO into 2027 And now it looks like he's trying to come up with excuses to give decent optics for what the hell is going on. Because that's one of the important things to understand with these companies where they get so much of their money from investors, they're not getting money from customers. They're not getting the money from customers. They're getting the money from investors. So big thing is optics, right? If you're dealing with customers, you simply have to provide a product that has value to the customer, and then make sure your cost of delivering said product is less, hopefully a lot less, than what you charge for delivering said product. And that's how you have a successful business. You don't really have to worry a lot about optics with customers. Customers simply need your product, period. They may not like what you're doing, but what the hell else are they going to do? They're still going to buy your product. The issue that you get into, especially with these AI companies right now, these massive AI startup companies right now, is they're not really getting their money from the customers. They're getting their money from the investors. And the thing is with investors, investors really buy stories, right? Investors are buying, they're literally not buying the product. They're buying equity in the company, right? They're literally buying a share in the company. And so when they're buying a share in the company, what is it they're actually buying? And what they're buying into is a story. And so that's one of the reasons that optics is so important for investors. And so I think one of the interesting things with OpenAI right now, is that they're sucking wind. They are sucking wind by any measure. And they have to convince the investors out there that there's a reasonable reason for this. They are not sucking wind because they are failing. They're not sucking wind because they have gone down a cul-de-sac of success with these models.
