Open Design Motion: FREE AI Video Editing With ONE Prompt!

There's a brand new update for Open Design, and this is Open Design Motion, which basically allows you to create like beautiful motion design videos with any AI agent and any model, which means that you don't have to rely on Opus 5.5. So this is an example that they've created right here, and the actual demos are absolutely amazing. I'm gonna show you how it works in reality and how it performs, and it's actually seriously impressive so far. Now you can use this, for example, for creating designs like this. Here's another example.

Here's another one, right? And so the designs and the videos that you get from these sort of AI agents are super powerful. Genuinely, I would say from what I'm seeing, this is genuinely better than what my normal human team can do. And if we have a look at OpenDesign here, we've already plugged it into our agentic operating system. So if we go to OpenDesign over here, you can see that in one single prompt, you can create like an awesome motion design, and it's super simple, right? So here's the example prompt that we gave it. So we said, you know, make a 20 second paper cutout story, and then it's about OpenDesign, like a trailer for OpenDesign. It just created it in the background. It's absolutely amazing. Now, if we pause that, so you can preview over here, you can see the code over here. So basically what the agent is doing is just writing in code, it turns it into a motion design, which looks beautiful. You can also export that too, or you can share it with other people. And this is a free open source project that you can use with free open source brain, right? So the way that I would look at this is like, if you want to create your own motion design videos for free, what you can actually do is you can use a free brain, like for example, inside open code, you've got Longcat, you've got MIMO v2.6, you've got Nemetron 3.5, SuperVL that just dropped yesterday, GLM 5.3 Flash would be great for this. Even like DeepSeq v4.1 Flash is free as well inside open code. And I use that often inside the brain of Hermes, but what we can actually do is just go into open design and get that to use the model with us directly.

And so that means that the build is free, and then also the AI model is free as well. So you can see we're on a local mode here. And then if you want to change the model, like you can see, you can even use this with Hermes agent. So you could use this with Hermes agent, Kimi CLI, you could use with anti-gravity, and you've got all these different setups and instructions and everything else inside here. And then it just plugs directly into an agentic operating system like you can see. And basically from here, what you can do is you can go inside the home section, and then you would just click on motion design. So there's all these different other types of stuff you can create. You can create beautiful websites, as you can see as well. And they look super nice, but you can also create motion design videos too. Now, here's where it gets really interesting. So you could combine this with something that we've done with BloTato.

Now BloTato is awesome because it can basically get those videos you created and then post them and analyze the analytics for you. So if we have a look, for example, over here, we've got all these beautifully edited videos using motion design, they look amazing, and then we can actually use BloTato to post them. And if you want to see an example of what that looks like, you can see that it actually analyzes the analytics and the performance of all of this content as well. So if we look through the list, for example, is analyze which platforms are content from the best on, it's got a preview of everything that we've created, and then it's just three simple steps, which is you write the script, you get edited, and then you post it with BloTato. Pretty amazing. And BloTato also gives you the analytics on that as well. So you can combine an open design with BloTato and automate and build anything that you want. Now, over here, if we go to the motion design section, you also see that it gives you templates. So you can actually get those templates, and then you can build them into any project that you're working on. So if we have a look here, for example, you've got like this prompt here, and we can say, like, make a 20-second high-energy reel titled, The AI Profit Boardroom Community Is the Best to Learn AI Automation. Something like that. And then we can choose the BPM, and we can tell it exactly how we want it to look. And also the other option with this is that we can switch the model over here, so we can change what model we use. We can change which agent we use. You can use this with Hermes Agent and everything like that. And then we can hit Enter, and it's just gonna start building for us directly. And you can have multiple different projects in the background just working like that. So if we switch over here, we could use, for example, this for slide decks, and you can see all the templates here. You can use this for documents, images, websites. Hyperframes is another option for creating everything that you're building. And something that's really cool here is the live artifact option. So what you can do is you can create live dashboards so you can share with people. But again, you don't need Claude to create them, which is what most people are using right now. You can use OpenDesign, which is super powerful stuff. If you're wondering, you know, OpenDesign, is it legit, how many people are using, et cetera. So we already got 102,000 stars on GitHub. It's a design agent workspace, super easy to use. You can just plug it into any AI agent that you want. I mean, for example, if you wanted, like, you could just go straight to Hermes and just go straight to Hermes and say, hey, can you start using this and then build out a beautiful motion design for the AR Profit Boardroom using it? And then you can ask it to build right there. And the other cool thing about this whole system, the Gentico S, is like everything's just in one tab away. So for example, we've got our example motion design that we just built on the go right there, is what we're talking about. And then we have, for example, Hermes agent using OpenDesign in the background over here. And everything that we create can land inside our workspace so we can find it later. That's the other thing I really like about OpenDesign itself is like it's so easy to look back on your recent projects, what you've created, how it looks. It even gives you a little preview, as you can see over there. And you can use this to build an ultimate end-of-end. So it's super fun. Now, what you could also do, and this is really fun, is you could actually create a new chat over here. So we can go to the home section, and we can say, okay, let's delete that. We're just going to switch over to MotionDesign. And then we can assist to edit something else we've created previously. So let's take a look at this. Here's an example so I can get that. And then I can say, can you edit this into a beautiful MotionDesign? And then it's going to use that example that we gave it directly there. And then in the meantime, we have hermies working in the background here too. Now some people want to say, Julian, it looks like you're just using Claude for this. Like I said, you can use this for anything. So you can just quickly switch out the model and the provider over here, and you can select which one you want. And what it also does is it automatically looks through all of the different agents and CLIs you've already got inside that you've set up, right? So for example, if we have a look here, we can scan and then it will show, for example, we've got open design with DeepSeek V4 Flash over here. We have open code that we could use with the CLI default. We have Hermes agent that we can quickly switch to and change the model to over here. So whichever agent you want to prefer, or for example, whichever CLI you prefer, maybe you, for example, want to use a memory model, you've got that over here as well. Super easy and simple to do. And the designs look awesome. Now, also what you can do is you can give it an iteration here. So if you like, okay, here's my brand colors. Can you change it to these instead? It will go over there and start working with it. Now, also, this is pretty interesting what's happening in the world, because, for example, you can also use something called Claude Motion now too, which is very similar. So if you're not come across Claude Motion, this works in a similar way. Here's an example of something we created earlier. And Claude Motion works in a similar way. Now, for me personally, what I actually prefer is using OpenDesign. I think it looks more interesting, more beautiful, more engaging, is cleaner on the design as well. And then also it's much easier to organize. Whereas, for example, if you go into Claude, you got all your other chats, and it's quite hard to like switch between the motion designs only. Whereas with this system, you've got it all in one place. And also if you need to create a new website, a new landing page, a new app, it's already to go in one place. So that is it for OpenDesign.
