What a dude, welcome to Legends of Avantris. My name is Kremler Crew, and you are listening to Once Upon a Witchlight. Here's what happened last time.
SPEAKER_2 (0:11)
Where the hell is that guy?
Kremler Crew (0:12)
Have you seen the big red guy around here?
SPEAKER_3 (0:15)
You talking about Cake Jack?
Derek (0:17)
Oh yeah.
Real, that's real sad about that guy. He was thrown from the back of Pine Cone. He's currently in a coma. We're taking him to the emergency pixie room.
SPEAKER_3 (0:28)
Unfortunately, we don't allow visitors.
Derek (0:30)
People stop you to let you know how excited they are for the new, for the new attraction, the Witchlight Carnival first annual drag show.
SPEAKER_4 (0:44)
Now that you've looked into the all CNI, the mystery mine knows your mind. It's seen into your soul. Can you survive the horrors within?
And come out the other side.
SPEAKER_7 (1:03)
Other side hole?
SPEAKER_8 (1:04)
I think so.
Derek (1:05)
No, there's like a comma there. Of pure light.
SPEAKER_4 (1:38)
The light of the Witchlight Carnival.
Derek (1:41)
As you exit the butthole of the dragon's tail.
Kremler Crew (1:43)
You know, is it Calliope or is it Calliope?
Derek (1:48)
A goblin dressed as a ladybug totals up to you rattling a tin cup.
It feels like 12 days, but it's only been a handful of hours. As you journey through the many amusements that the carnival has to offer. Last session, you found yourselves enjoying the twists and turns of the... Of the... What?
SPEAKER_10 (2:34)
I was reacting to that we would be enjoying the twists and turns of...
Derek (2:38)
Why are you shaking your head like that?
SPEAKER_7 (2:41)
We were twisting and turning. Or that you didn't enjoy it.
SPEAKER_8 (2:45)
I assume you're referring to the nines.
Derek (2:46)
Yes.
SPEAKER_10 (2:48)
Why would Frost enjoy being confronting as one of his deepest fears?
SPEAKER_6 (2:51)
I wasn't finished with my sentence, Derek.
SPEAKER_10 (2:54)
That's why. I was just anticipatating.
I was anticipatating.
SPEAKER_8 (3:03)
To both sides of my face look all right.
SPEAKER_7 (3:08)
Why does everything smell like burning feathers?
Derek (3:11)
Half of my face is numb.
SPEAKER_6 (3:12)
That's normal, right?
SPEAKER_9 (3:16)
Jesus Christ, I love you guys.
Derek (3:19)
You enjoyed the twists and turns of the mines.
SPEAKER_7 (3:22)
We did, Derek.
SPEAKER_6 (3:24)
You did.
SPEAKER_7 (3:25)
We enjoyed it.
Derek (3:27)
It was, however, the psychic damage that you did not enjoy.
And that is really all that you got done last session. What else did you get done then, Derek?
SPEAKER_8 (4:19)
We ran from a pizza-slinging, flibble-flabble grizzle-draggle.
Kremler Crew (4:26)
No, that was before the mine.
SPEAKER_9 (4:38)
I'm so sorry.
Derek (4:39)
Please forgive me for forgetting that.
SPEAKER_10 (4:41)
So we're gonna have to speed this up, is what you're saying.
SPEAKER_13 (4:43)
I will return.
SPEAKER_8 (4:45)
Guys, I propose that we just beat up Mr. Witch.
Derek (4:54)
It is after the mine that you decide to make your way towards something that has been ever present at this carnival. The sounds of the Calliope, as it plays throughout your adventures here. And you make your way, Frost having diminished his ticket completely, knowing that you're to continue to enjoy what the carnival has to offer. You will have to make your way back towards the ticket booth.
As you make your way towards it, you decide to stop at the Calliope, where you are met with a monkey in an outfit, as he is grinding away at the Calliope, turning the handle, and a goblin woman dressed up like a ladybug, as she holds a jar filled with buttons, and she says to you, Spare a button if you please, I'll sew it next to all of these. I offer nothing in its place, besides a smile upon my face.
SPEAKER_8 (5:53)
Hear that, fellas?
Kremler Crew (5:55)
We can increase the joy in this place by giving them a button.
SPEAKER_8 (5:58)
Very charming. What is your name, young lady?
SPEAKER_14 (6:03)
Oh, Miss Buttons!
SPEAKER_8 (6:05)
She's like very elderly.
SPEAKER_3 (6:07)
Oh, you can call me Marigold.
SPEAKER_8 (6:10)
Marigold, that's a very nice name.
SPEAKER_3 (6:12)
Oh, yeah, and the monkey behind the colloyope, his name's Ernest.
SPEAKER_8 (6:16)
Ernest the monkey?
Ernest the monkey. There's something in there.
SPEAKER_11 (6:23)
Oh, remember when Ernest went to jail?
SPEAKER_8 (6:30)
Yes, I also recall when he would get up on ladders and for five minutes talk to some sort of unseen partner.
SPEAKER_15 (6:40)
His warlock patron.
SPEAKER_8 (6:41)
Yes, yes, and then he would fall backwards.
SPEAKER_11 (6:43)
It's like how Cremie says, would you kindly? He would say, you know what I mean?
