Hermes just dropped inside Omarchy. This means you can use Hermes number one as your default AI agent inside Omarchy, which is a free agent OS, and we'll come on to that in a second, but also your Omarchy theme sets the colors in the desktop app. And additionally, you can quickly get the desktop app installed inside Omarchy. So if you're wondering how to do this, you can get Omarchy from GitHub, you can get your AI agent set up if you want to. And then once you've done that, you can go over to Omarchy, and it will look something like this once you've actually got Hermes agent set up. So you can see, for example, here, we have the Hermes agent desktop ready to go, and we can use this to build things. The other cool thing about this is you can have separate settings. So for example, you could have Hermes desktop one click away, then you could have Claude over here, you could have Codex over here, and that's a big benefit. The other thing that I like about using Hermes agent inside Omarchy is it's really easy to navigate between different windows. You can resize things really quickly. The hotkeys are pretty cool, and it's pretty easy to set up. So once you've done this as well, what you'll see here is that we've got all of the systems and profiles that we've had from other AI agents inside here. So for example, look at all these free APIs that we can actually use from OpenCode inside Hermes agent, along with, for example, OpenRouter connected and everything else, which is pretty nice. We can edit the models over here and switch between them anytime we want. And you can actually use this to build anything that you want directly into OS as well. So what I mean by that, for example, is if you are using like Mac OS, you can't really change and mold it the same way. But if you're using Omarchy OS inside Mac OS, then you can quickly switch between things. So let me show you an example. If we press, for example, Ctrl Shift and J, sorry, Command Shift and J here, you can see that we have this app that was built for daily briefings. So we can type in what we want to work in over here. And this is a custom made app that also pulls in the latest news in the AI automation industry, and it's built by AI. So we can add custom apps inside of Mac. And pretty much everything that you can see here is totally changeable. It reminds me a bit of like DeepSeek Harness. When you use DeepSeek Harness, you can change like every single element of it. The skills, the plugins, the way that it looks, what models it runs on, et cetera. And you can do exactly the same inside of Omarchy as well.
So if we press command and W, we can close up. And then over here, we could say, for example, to Hermes, build out a to-do list app inside of Omarchy. And that can actually start building out an app directly inside this OS. We can use this to change the themes. And you can see that it's running pretty quick right here. And also this comes with loads of great models. So we got it running now, and then we can run another session over here. And you could also create Hermes Agent as a custom sort of hotkey so that you can pull it up anytime you want. So for example, if we switched to another window like you can see right here, we have another app that we've built where we can capture ideas. And we just press Command Shift and I to open up. Now, my point here is like you could click off this and you could have a hotkey to pull up Hermes Agent whenever you need to use it. And it's really quick. So let me show you how that works. So we can go back into Hermes Agent here, we can start a new session, and then we can say assign a new keyboard shortcut to use Hermes Agent on Omarchy. So we have two agents working in parallel, one to build out the app inside Omarchy, and then one to assign a keyboard shortcut so that we can use Hermes Agent whenever we want to. Now, you can see here that it's asking for approval. So we're just going to click on Run. That's running in the background here. And we can see what's active. We can also change the whole theme on Omarchy as well. So if we go inside Hermes Agent here and we say, create a new Hermes Agent style theme inside Omarchy. Now, whilst these are running in the background, you might be wondering, well, how do you actually install this? So you can install this directly inside the terminal and you can press Super, so Command and Space, and then type in Terminal, just to open up the Terminal and install Hermes Agent Desktop app from there. The other option that you have is you can go to AI and just install it from the options there.
