Thanks for listening to the show. As you can probably tell in my voice, I'm still a little bit under the weather, but the show must go on. And by the show, I'm talking about the Wall Street Show, not the baseball show. Although that's starting to rev right back up. S&P 500 today is down 41 points, down 60 basis points. It's at 6904 The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 33 points. That's fractional. The NASDAQ down 281 points, down 1.22%. Russell 2000 down sideways. Bitcoin down $547, down roughly 1% to $67,467.
Ten-year treasury sits at 4.02%.
Not a bad area if you're a long-term stock or maybe instead of say long-term, I say mid-term outlook on the stock market. Gold's giving up some gains today down one-half, 1% to essentially $5,298.
Silver's down 4, down 4.3%. Britain crude's up about 45, up 2%. Oil is climbing as the US-Iran nuclear talks keep investors on edge. Salesforce last night eased AI fears with a strong outlook. Big buybacks. Apple CEO is teased some new product unveils next week. They tend not to do anything big this early in the year. That's more so for their back to school season. Apple may unveil some new MacBooks and a lower cost iPhone in the rollout. I guess the lower cost iPhone might be something some people want to see. Potentially new iPad Air. Apple is not expected to live stream a rollout announcement like it typically does with its WWDC event which is held in September and usually features announcements in the latest iPhone line up. In headline news today Google is rolling out the Nano Banana 2 after viral success of the AI Image Generation Tool. A successor to the viral Nano Banana Image Generation Model, time and faster performance as the search engine giant pushes to attract more users to its AI tools. A little overwhelming dealing with all the different AI tools that are out there. The launch is Google's latest in a series of moves that have propelled the company to the forefront of AI race, helping it better compete with OpenAI's ChatGPT, who I'm starting to feel bad for. Anthropic is getting all the love, as is Alphabet's Google's Gemini. Then you get to OpenAI and you go, man, they're spending a lot of money. You don't talk about the product right now. That could change, but they had the corner on the product conversation for a while there. That seems to have faded. Nvidia did it again. The AI leader easily exceeded quarterly expectations and provided next quarter guidance that easily exceeded so-called whisper numbers, which are expectations that are essentially above consensus expectations. The market is a little stumped. The response to all that good news has been pretty tepid. The stock was up roughly 3% last night in aftermarket. Started to fade down roughly 5% this morning. salesforce.com, and I'll have more on Nvidia in just a second. But salesforce.com is dealing with the software apocalypse that's been going around. That anthropic coding tools will make software doom and gloom into oblivion. I'm going to go over some of the notes on Nvidia with you. Like Michael Burry, he put out an interesting short note on Nvidia. But I have so much to get to. And I really should get to some of this, per se, not just focus on the one. I'm scanning the headlines to see if anything has been released in the last hour that you may want to be aware of. Burns out positive on Argentina's bond market. I'll be honest with you. That's something I will never ever ever never look into. Paypal is not in discussion to sell itself to Stripe or anyone, according to Simaphore. Alphabet posted a blog that titled the March 23 or this March 23 They're going to be introducing Gemini Advantage in Google marketing platform. US and Iran could reach a deal if nuclear and non nuclear issues are separated, according to Reuters, citing senior Iranian officials. Again, what would the output of that be? Oil prices would probably drip lower. Airline stocks would probably shoot a little bit higher as some of the risk of war comes off the table. It's weird being as old as I am and I'm still saying the risk of war. It's a phrase that it seems like it should be out of our mouths, our lexicon. Nvidia is moving lower despite a beat and raise earnings report. Semiconductor stocks as a group were under pressure. Broader market is mostly lower. There's some continued strength across software names and financial stocks.
