Hello and welcome to another episode of the Regulation Podcast. This is episode 126 My name is Geoff Ramsey with me, as always, Eric Bedour, Andrew Pant and Nick Schwartz, Gavin Free in no particular order. How's everybody doing today?
Eric Bedour (0:14)
Hello.
Gavin Free (0:15)
Double cup.
Geoff Ramsey (0:15)
Great.
Gavin Free (0:18)
Awesome.
Andrew Panton (0:18)
Fantastic.
Eric Bedour (0:20)
Can we start off with Gavin's coffee shop guests?
Geoff Ramsey (0:22)
Oh, yeah. So last week, I posed a game to Gavin. Each week, I give him one chance to ask me who the person I saw at the coffee shop and avoided was that we both used to know from our Rooster Teeth days. I will allow one question and then one submission each episode.
Eric Bedour (0:41)
Just just so you know, the last name you guessed was Aaron.
Geoff Ramsey (0:44)
Yes, it was not Aaron.
Andrew Panton (0:46)
I have some suggestions. I'm going to text you, Gavin, just to think about that.
Geoff Ramsey (0:50)
I think, OK, so and I will allow one question per week to elucidate.
Andrew Panton (0:56)
I was throwing out two names to you that I was thinking about.
Gavin Free (0:58)
Wow.
Andrew Panton (0:58)
Did and now you can proceed.
Gavin Free (1:00)
Did they attend parties at your house?
Geoff Ramsey (1:04)
I would assume a few for sure, but I can't specifically remember seeing that person in my house, but I would be surprised if they weren't at some point.
I hope that's helpful. I know it's not helpful, I guess, but it's not it's not like a person we would have seen every. It's not like somebody you'd have been partying with at my house every Friday night. But, you know, we put on a lot of company parties at my house and there would be 150 people there. So I'm a guarantee this person was probably there a few times.
Andrew Panton (1:32)
And they didn't used to live in Austin. That's something else we know, because Jeff said he learned he lives in Austin.
Geoff Ramsey (1:37)
I learned he still lives in Austin.
Andrew Panton (1:39)
Oh, OK. Never mind.
Geoff Ramsey (1:41)
But he definitely didn't used to live in Austin. And and I will answer this for Andrew just because it seems like there's some obfuscation there. This person didn't used to live in Austin and then eventually moved to Austin.
We knew them before they lived in Austin and then, you know, further the relationship when they moved here.
Andrew Panton (1:57)
Got it.
Gavin Free (2:01)
Roadblock.
Geoff Ramsey (2:02)
I don't think Roadblock ever lived in Austin.
Eric Bedour (2:04)
OK, that's your guess. Roadblock.
Geoff Ramsey (2:06)
Not even close. OK, not in the other direction.
Eric Bedour (2:08)
Not Roadblock.
Geoff Ramsey (2:10)
Better luck next week, Bud.
Eric Bedour (2:11)
Bad guess. Way to go.
Geoff Ramsey (2:13)
Yeah, you definitely definitely rethink that direction.
Gavin Free (2:19)
OK.
Geoff Ramsey (2:20)
All right.
Moving on. How's everybody doing this week?
Andrew Panton (2:24)
I say good. Dilly pop. I'm dilly poppin. It's a it's a Thursday recording, so I'm dilly poppin.
Geoff Ramsey (2:32)
What does that mean? Dilly poppin?
Andrew Panton (2:33)
I'm just, you know, bringing the full dill. Got the pop going on. I got poppin my step, pep in my step. Whatever the what is pep?
Geoff Ramsey (2:41)
You get the dilly pep pop.
Andrew Panton (2:42)
I got the dilly pep pop. What is pep?
Gavin Free (2:44)
Are you dilly pep?
Geoff Ramsey (2:45)
Enthusiasm.
Like that, like that extra. OK, so it's not a flair. It's like the physical embodiment of flair.
Andrew Panton (2:54)
Oh, I like that.
Eric Bedour (2:55)
If that's what pep is, what's pop?
Geoff Ramsey (2:57)
Pop is like when you jump a little higher.
Eric Bedour (2:59)
Are you jumping a little higher, Andrew?
Andrew Panton (3:01)
I haven't tested.
Eric Bedour (3:03)
But you said you have pop, but you don't have pep.
Andrew Panton (3:07)
You know what? I don't know what I have at this point. All I know is that I'm dilly pop, baby, and I'm here. Oh, we record.
It's a good day.
Geoff Ramsey (3:15)
I have so we're either doing to today or we're not. But I have so many fucking notes. I have too many notes for two episodes somehow. I don't know what happened.
Andrew Panton (3:24)
Oh, I'm so glad that you have so many notes.
The most thrilling thing that has happened in my week since we last recorded was I had a scheduled viewing appointment of a movie. It happened. I was so excited. I explained this to Geoff and Gavin before. Yeah, there's a movie I wanted to watch that I looked and it was not available to rent online anywhere in Canada. It was it claimed to be behind a weird soccer subscription service, but I don't believe that. So it was either trying to get the subscription paying like nine ninety nine for a thing that I don't think is actually there or Plex has like a live TV thing and there happened to be a screening of it in like three days. So it's very excited. Going to watch it. Couldn't remember the last time I looked at like a TV guide type thing and made like an appointment viewing of I'm going to watch this show with commercial breaks and everything. We had to record that day. I missed it. Was devastated. It's fine. However, there is a second running of it in the evening and I got to see it.
