Podcast host Joe Rogan claimed on a recent episode that powerful critics, including political figures, allegedly tried to pressure platforms like Spotify to remove his show during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speakers: Patrick Bet-David, Joe Rogan, Tom, Brett

So here's Joe Rogan. Joe claims multiple US presidents directly contacted Spotify in an effort to get his show taken down. Here's Joe.

**Joe Rogan** (0:13)
I can't even talk about it, but there was presidents involved, and former presidents involved that were contacting Spotify. Oh yeah, oh yeah, trying to get me removed for vaccine misinformation.
Yeah, it turned out to be right. All of it, not a single fucking apologize.

**SPEAKER_3** (0:31)
Interviewing the dude that invented mRNA, and the most published doctor in his field.

**Joe Rogan** (0:36)
Not a single apology. Not a single apology from anybody. Not a single retraction. Not a single, you know, mea culpa. Not a single we were wrong.
And, you know, I lost a lot of sponsors. I lost a lot during those days. It was interesting. It was a there was a there was a time where it was working.

**SPEAKER_3** (0:57)
Wow. Yeah.
I didn't know there was that much coordination.

**Patrick Bet-David** (1:01)
Oh, there was a lot of coordination. What do you think? I mean, we know one of the presidents was Biden, that we know, and it's not really Biden, it's Jill, but it's the administration, Kamala. Who else would it be? Obama.

**SPEAKER_5** (1:12)
Barack Obama.

**Patrick Bet-David** (1:13)
So if you got Obama as the other one, that would possibly do it.

**Tom** (1:16)
The former, because he did say former, and he wasn't on Spotify until September 1, 2020

**Patrick Bet-David** (1:20)
Do you really think GW cares?
I don't think he cares for nothing. Do you think Hillary Clinton cares?

**SPEAKER_4** (1:26)
Well, she wasn't a president.

**Patrick Bet-David** (1:28)
Why, I think it is tied to her husband, but I don't think Bill cares. I don't think Bill gives a shit. I think Bill actually would be a great podcast on Joe. If Bill ever did a Joe Rogan podcast, it would be a phenomenal podcast. Yeah, if they did that podcast. So what do you think about this yourself? You know, you're on mainstream. You're Fox. You're on that side. What do you think when you hear a story like this, Brett?

**Brett** (1:47)
I think it's scary. And it goes back to our first story about Tulsi Gabbard and that information today. And by the way, we're investing some time in Special Report to go dig into that some more and where it goes and what we talked about at the beginning of the show. But I mean, this is, that's the scary thing, is that if you look back again, whatever happened to, this is the entire squelching of all of that information in the early days. And Joe is right. It got to the point where it was dangerous. We're gonna yank him. And it was pressure, real pressure. And yet, years later, it turns out all of the things that he was talking about and the interviews he was doing turn out to be true, where we are looking back at the disease, looking back at COVID.
So I think it's scary. I think, you know, we talk about freedom and in my book, The Case for America, freedom of speech and how important it is, freedom to pick up and go where you wanna go.
But when you see this and a government coming down, it has to be a red alert, you know, sirens going up.

**Patrick Bet-David** (2:55)
Tom?

**Tom** (2:56)
Well, God bless Daniel Eck, and thank God he wasn't in the US where they could get him with tax and other tools.

**SPEAKER_5** (3:05)
Yeah.

**Tom** (3:06)
He was on a hill that they couldn't use any of their weaponized techniques or the FCC necessarily to... Well, they could use the FCC, but it was more difficult.

**SPEAKER_5** (3:15)
Spotify is in Sweden, right, Tom?

**Tom** (3:17)
Yeah. And by the way, you take FCC rules on it, I'll show you 30 seconds how to put a VPN on your phone and then go get where you're not supposed to get. That's how the Chinese do it right now.
So I think... Thank you, Daniel Eck, for doing this. But the other side of it, what this shows, is that the cancel culture was real. And that what the left was willing to do to protect its turf was not to allow debate, but to suppress it. And so the side that calls us, oh, you're this totalitarian regime, yet you're the ones trying to push freedom of speech out the door. You're the one trying to cancel voices. You're the one that wants to pull back on the debate. Really?
Who's the dictator now? Who's the king now? And I'm looking, if you're got a report coming on this, God bless you. I'm looking forward to seeing where that came from. I'm looking forward to seeing where the angles, because we've seen things that would, we know what the Obama administration is capable of, and we know what Hillary Clinton was capable of, because now the Russian stuff is all public, and we've seen the federal memorandum, we've seen defense, excuse me, DNI memorandum on that, Pat, right? So guess what? This is just chapter two.
