And it's taking you six years to rebuild.

It sure has. I started like almost immediately too. The fire was in September and October 20th. I was like engaging in the like the rebuild process.

And you're a designer by trade, your partner's also a designer. Is there competition there?

Um, that's such a good question. I would say no. We work in different fields now, and I think that's part of the reason why there's a different field. Well, Brian does like live events, like music award shows. He's currently working on the BET Awards, and I work in one hour drama. I work on the TV show Matlock. So like we have, you know, we stay out of each other's way.

So that design, you can't just say that they're totally separate because they're moments where we have who designs the house.

We have both been nominated for Emmys in the same category.

He is way better. I will admit that. I will. He's got a longer track record.

Who gets to... Who makes the design decisions in the house?

**Chris** (3:46)
We have two designers. That is true, and I will tell you that there is a lot of expectation that comes when people are like, oh, we're getting invited. We just got married, and the expectations, thank you, of what a wedding would be with two production designers.

It's a lot of pressure.

Oh, that's gotta be it.

It really is, but it's fun, right? I don't want to dampen anyone's enthusiasm. But this house, because it was my house, if we're rebuilding it, I wanted my opportunity to showcase...
I would imagine we can share that, that when someone says, can you cook this thing, and you want it to taste a certain way, they're telling you, they're guiding you that this is the way it should be. I don't even know what my own style is, because I'm always doing it for someone else. And so to be able to do style for this house and turn something so traumatic into something that is going to be celebrated, I went for it. Like, I really went for it, and I'm really, really proud of that.
