Noah's Ark: 100% Unconfirmed
Data Over Dogma
October 5, 2026
The Daily Mail says the resting place of Noah's Ark has been "100% confirmed" on a hillside in Turkey, so we're lacing up our hiking boots to check the radar scans, the fundraising pitch, and what happened the last time someone drilled into this very same formation (spoiler: bedrock).

So, I feel like an adult, because I actually have a storage space now.
And I recently spent a couple of days, I rented a van and moved everything from my basement into the van to take it to the storage space so we could finish my basement. And my back was killing me at the end of both days, and it felt so nice.
Dan Beecher (0:20)
You're definitely an adult, you're just an old one.
Dan McClellan (0:23)
It felt so nice to climb into my Brooklyn bedding plank firm lux mattress and know that I was going to get a great night's sleep. And I feel very similar when I come home from traveling where I've been on really, really crappy motel or hotel mattresses. I have never been so in love with going to bed on a specific mattress, but the mattress that I got from Brooklyn Bedding has been so wonderful. My wife and I, we both love a firm mattress, and this is the mattress of our dreams, and it is lasting longer than we were expecting it would, and we're so excited about that. And yeah, Brooklyn Bedding has just knocked it out of the park.
Dan Beecher (1:06)
Yeah. And look, they know that sleep isn't a one size fits all scenario. It's not even one size fits all on this podcast. You like the firm, I like the soft and squishy.
It's whatever you dig. So get out there and try Brooklyn Bedding. If you sleep hot, you get the Glaciotex covers, the copper-infused foam that helps regulate your temperature. And look, there's no danger here. Brooklyn Bedding offers a 120-night comfort trial.
You love it or they'll help you return it or swap it hassle-free. And if you don't want to take my word for it, Brooklyn Bedding has been awarded best mattress by CNET, best hybrid mattress by Wirecutter. So you know, it's the real deal.

I get so many headaches every month.
SPEAKER_4 (2:17)
It could be chronic migraine, 15 or more headache days a month, each lasting four hours or more.
SPEAKER_3 (2:22)
Botox, autobotulinum toxin A, prevents headaches in adults with chronic migraine. It's not for those who have 14 or fewer headache days a month. Prescription Botox is injected by your doctor. Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection causing serious symptoms. Alert your doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems or muscle weakness can be signs of a life-threatening condition. Patients with these conditions before injection are at highest risk. Side effects may include allergic reactions, neck and injection site pain, fatigue, and headache. Allergic reactions can include rash, faults, asthma symptoms, and dizziness. Don't receive Botox if there's a skin infection. Tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions, including ALS Lou Gehrig's disease, myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eton syndrome, and medications, including botulinum toxins, as these may increase the risk of serious side effects.

From above, you look down on it, and if you trace it, you could totally say that's a boat.
Dan McClellan (3:22)
Or a volva, particularly with the other ridges that are around it.
Dan Beecher (3:26)
Yes. Can we start calling the different parts of this archaeological site the Labia Minora and Labia Majora of Noah's Ark? Because that makes me very happy.
Dan McClellan (3:44)
Hey everybody, I'm Dan McClellan.
Dan Beecher (3:46)
And I'm Dan Beecher.
Dan McClellan (3:47)
This is Data Over Dogma, where we increase public access to the academic study of the Bible and religion, and we combat the spread of misinformation about the same. And we've got our combat boots at the ready, don't we?
Dan Beecher (4:01)
Yeah, it's a misinformation kind of day today. I'm excited. Put on your hiking boots, because we're going to go look for a boat on the top of a mountain.
It's an artifacts and fiction. And yeah, it's Noah's Ark, because some new facts have come to light, some ins and outs and what have you.
Dan McClellan (4:23)
New information has indeed come to light.
Dan Beecher (4:28)
So yeah, we're going to talk about that. That'll be fun in the first half of the show. Second half of the show is going to be really cool, too, because what is that? We're going to talk about messiah. And frankly, I think we're all wrong about what a messiah is. And so it'll be nice to clear that up in some way. Yeah.
