I don't assess it as someone who can get up there and, you know, operate when everything is on. It's a different process level, so it's more of, you know, slowing down the game to everybody. And I believe we made a huge jump for week one and week two because we're getting more condensed in the playbook. We're not really opening everything up. And, you know, when we come to week one, I think it will be a different story.

Reporter, how would you assess your play this preseason? How would you assess it? Not well. You don't think so? I'm glad you don't think so. He, Ocho, he hasn't played well.

The small amount of plays you do get as a starting quarterback in the preseason, where everything is really vanilla, there's nothing scripted, there's nothing schemed, I would take that with a grain of salt in general. Now with the small stuff you have gotten, Unc and Joe, okay, it hasn't looked good. It hasn't looked good. Brian Dayball, he has his work cut out for him. He has his work cut out for him. So obviously, whatever you need to do, you take what you've seen in the preseason, you implement it in practice, and hopefully come week one, in two weeks, we come out and we see a better Cam Ward. Cam Ward had some ups and downs last year. Number one pick, he had some ups and downs. Towards the end of the season, hey, Unc and Joe, boy, he played well. He played really well. So I'm hoping he can build on that going into the season this year, but when it comes to the preseason, eh. You know, you want to see improvement.
You want to see improvement and consistency, but when it doesn't go well, the way we think it should, when he gets what, nine snaps, seven snaps and say, oh, without those seven, you didn't play well.
I don't know. Maybe you understand where I'm coming from. Maybe not.
