Yeah, man. Well, my pops had my mom sing, so I pretty much got it from both of them. But my whole family, man, sang, man, my grandmama, my uncles and aunts, so everybody in the family sang.

It was a gift, man. I started singing it when I was like five years old because I had been around it, you know, and it really became something I wanted to do when I got to high school. And I knew that I started singing to Bobby Browns and the chicks was like feeling this. So I was like, I'm on to something right here. That's what made me like take it seriously then, you know?

To be honest, man, I don't. Because I mean, I still listen to the Stevie Wonder's and the Michael Jackson. When I play those records, they still feel the same to me. You know what I'm saying? They never get old to me. So I felt like I wanted to make that type of music.
I really feel like I accomplished that.
