After watching a friend go through a loss a few years back, I saw how quickly grief can turn into financial stress. No one deserves that feeling I saw him feel ever. And I mean no one. No matter what I offered to help, it wasn't enough. I promised my family I would never make them feel the way I saw my buddy feel that day. Trust me, that experience watching a friend go through financial stress while grieving changed how I think about protecting my family.
