Two weeks later, we're playing Wimbledon. Good 45 minutes before the kick-off, the door is burst open and Vinnie Jones, where's Adams?

Graeme Souness (0:24)

Chelsea should not be a project. Chelsea's project should be the next season.

Scott Minto (0:27)

It should be where the players go there to actually win the major trophies.

Graeme Souness (0:32)

Did you win that for your thought?

Niall Quinn (0:34)

We were beaten in the semi-finals.

Graeme Souness (0:35)

I'm not interested in getting beaten. I was at simple yes or no.

Scott Minto (0:45)

Graeme, we're not here all together. We're in different places. Tell us where you are, but obviously you come off the back of the three-peaks challenge as well. Just how tough was that? For people who don't know what it's about and why you do it, just explain.

Graeme Souness (1:00)

Well, I am present of a charity called Deborah. We look after young people who have a skin condition which is truly horrendous. It's the worst disease that people have never heard of. It's the best of your life is the day you're born. It's downhill from then. Every waking moment is filled with ridiculous pain and itch.

It's life-limiting and it impacts obviously not just on the individual that's got this horrendous condition, but all the families.

It's such a sad thing to see. I've witnessed some of these kids getting their dressings changed and it's horrendous. They have to have drugs like fentanyl, ketamine, morphine just to get through that bandage change. I can't talk about it. They're getting sad because I've got pictures in my head. I can't unsee and I've got noises in my head.

I can't forget from when these kids are having their dressings changed. So, we made a hash of it, I think, because we started with Snowden, which is the easiest one. They went to Scafell Pike and then up to Ben Nevis, which was easily the toughest one, but it's done. And it will not be getting repeated by me.

Definitely not. We did it and we've raised a lot of money. And unfortunately, we got no support from government. The big pharma companies won't touch us. There's about 5,000 sufferers in this country, so there's no money out for the big pharmaceutical companies. So, we are fighting alone. And right now, we're retrialing drugs which allow drugs that are already on the market to be used in helping our poor kids. You know, if you discovered a drug today, it's the best part of 15 to 20 years to get it to market. It can cost hundreds of millions of pounds. So the drugs that are already on the market for skin conditions, we're taking them and trialing them on our kids to see what results we can get and see if we can help. But even that, a trial like that, costs half a million quid. We're trialing three. Hopefully this money we get from this challenge, we'll get half a million quid to allow another trial. But there's another 16 drugs that our scientists and researchers want to trial. It's just, it's just a saddest thing.

Scott Minto (3:13)

Well done for doing what you're doing and just, it's Deborah and if anybody wants to donate they can just go on the on the Deborah website.

Graeme Souness (3:21)

Yeah, if you go to the Deborah website, just follow the just giving page and you can, you can make a donation if you can, any, any, a pound, two quid, three or five, anything will help us. It goes to a great, great cause.

Scott Minto (3:34)

Gaffer, what sort of memories do you have of Niall?

Graeme Souness (3:38)

Well, I can't remember. We never played against each other now, did we?

Niall Quinn (3:42)

Well, I tell you, would you believe I played against you for Arsenal against Rangers in what was meant to be a friendly, a British Cup final because there was no teams in Europe at that time in the late 80s. You and Terry Hurlock kicked us off the pitch up at Ibrox.

Graeme Souness (4:06)

I was the elegant one in midfield, Terry was the one doing all that sort of stuff.

Niall Quinn (4:10)

Well, it's a goal that doesn't appear anywhere on the records, but I actually scored the winner that night at Ibrox, which was a good thing to do for a young lad from Dublin. But nobody ever found out about it. It didn't get the recognition.
