College football is back, so Hilton called on me, the superstition concierge, to make your fan rituals a reality. Need a room to match your lucky number? We got you. Wanna make sure our team doesn't wash your lucky jersey? Oh, that smells lucky.

Hilton's unmatched hospitality can keep up with any superstition. Even a marching band wake up call at 555 in 55 seconds. Hit it!

When you need a team that will do whatever it takes on game day, it matters where you stay. Hilton, for the stay.

NFL football season is here, which means when you switch to Verizon, it feels like, because you get NFL Sunday Ticket from YouTube on us. When you buy an eligible 5G phone on select unlimited plans, which means you can watch every out of market game every Sunday afternoon, and it's all on us.

Now, that's the Verizon way to kick off the NFL football season right. Switch and get NFL Sunday Ticket from YouTube on us, only with Verizon.

From 11FS, this is Fintech Insider News live from the Village Underground in Shoreditch.

My name is David Brear, CEO at 11FS, and this is a very special episode. Episode 1100 of Fintech Insider, and tonight we are going to be covering Nubank comes to the US with a really big bet on word of mouth. We have that Monzo's New Aura credit card comes with AI subscription perk and cash back.

Finally, we have an AI gets financial services advice wrong 57 percent of the time. That's going to be a problem, isn't it? Tonight, though we have a absolutely brilliant panel joining us to get into some of the absolute biggest stories in financial services this week. First up, my co-host for the evening, we have Kate Moody who is the Customer Strategy Director at 11FS. How's it going, Kate? Yeah.

Kate Moody (2:14)

Thank you very much for having me. It's actually just by chance, a quick coincidence, my eight-year anniversary at 11FS today.

David Brear (2:20)

Wow.

Kate Moody (2:20)

So thanks for celebrating with me.

David Brear (2:26)

That's the moment we should have brought out a present for Kate.

Kate Moody (2:29)

Where is it?

David Brear (2:30)

It's a bit awkward, isn't it?

1,100 episodes of Fintech Insider though. That's a bit of a weird one, isn't it? We've covered some ground in that time, haven't we? Yeah.

Kate Moody (2:40)

I mean, I think it was definitely quite a few years in before you trusted me of a microphone. So I think I cannot claim credit for a lot of those. But yes, mad, absolutely mad.

David Brear (2:48)

But it's good. And it's always been fun, isn't it? It's always been entertaining.

All right. And joining us tonight, we have Tamara van den Ban, who is the Managing Director, Premier Banking at NatWest Group. How's it going, Tamara?

Tamara van den Ban (3:01)

Very well. Thank you for having me here tonight.

David Brear (3:03)

You're a longtime listener, first-time guest, right?

Tamara van den Ban (3:06)

Exactly. Exactly.

David Brear (3:08)

Well, it's great. I mean, tell us a little bit more about your role at NatWest. That's a super cool job title.

Tamara van den Ban (3:13)

It is a super cool job title, right?

So as the head of premiere banking for NatWest, I'd say I have the, what do you call it, a privilege to really help a lot of customers helping live their life that they want to live. From everything, from everyday banking, to saving, to investments, to wealth, to planning, and everything that is outside of that in the life that they want to achieve. So lots of opportunity and very exciting indeed.

David Brear (3:39)

Very, very cool. All right. Next up, we have Jon Hart, who is the Enterprise Sales Lead at Sage. How's it going, Jon?

Jon Hart (3:46)

Very well, thank you. Thanks for having me.

David Brear (3:48)

I heard, like, this feels very, like, sycophantic now, but you said backstage you listened to, was it like episode seven or something? You listened to Fintech Insider?

Jon Hart (3:57)

Episode eight, back in the good old days, yeah.

David Brear (3:59)

Do you want to tell that story live on the Fintech Insider, or do you not want to do that?

Jon Hart (4:03)

It was my entrance into the Fintech world. I was interviewing for a job at Money Hub, and I thought before going into this interview, I had to understand what the hell is going on, and stumbled across you guys, and I've never really looked back.

David Brear (4:16)

Yeah, it's like the BLAGGERS Guide to Fintech.

I feel like we offer so many services, but we have heard that a number of times before. But great to have you on. Do you want to tell us a little bit more about your role? I mean, if anybody's never heard of Sage, they're living under a rock. What do you do?
