The 10th day of Broncos training camp delivered great news on the injury front for the Broncos. Before I dive into that, make sure to hit us with a thumbs up and subscribe to this channel as well. Let's jump in to the good news because JK. Dobbins is not joking around. Just a day after suffering what Sean Payton called a soft tissue injury, JK. Dobbins was dressed in pads for practice on Tuesday. And not only was he dressed in pads, he participated in individual drills and looked like he was going full speed. Dobbins also had a message to the media, essentially saying he had a rest day on Monday, despite Sean Payton saying it was a soft tissue injury. He added, quote, y'all don't got to make a rumor.
Let me just remind you again, Sean Payton said it was a soft tissue injury, but regardless, it's good that this injury cleared up quickly and that now we can just move on from this and say that JK Dobbins looks like he is very healthy and explosive. Great to see number 27 back out there. Unfortunately, the hole at center just keeps growing bigger and bigger. Denver starting center Luke Wattenberg and back up Alex Forsythe did not practice on Tuesday for another day in a row. And midway through practice, their third string center Michael Dieter was carted off the practice field. That left Bo Nix working with his fourth center in just over a week. Sean Payton said the team will be fine and good at center position despite the growing number of injuries. And we did see Quinn Miners practicing snapping midway through practice, but he did not take a rep at center during practice. And after practice, Quinn said he always keeps his center tools sharp just in case that's needed. And he hasn't actually played that position since preseason of his rookie year. But Sean Payton does not believe the Broncos will need to go to Quinn at that center spot. So hopefully Luke Wattenberg and Alex Fortisite can get back soon. And hopefully Michael Dieter is okay. We did not get an update from him, from Sean after practice. Speaking of updates, got a stadium update for the first time since the spring. Broncos owner Greg Penner spoke to the media on Tuesday. And while Penner touched on football topics like saying the team's expectations are to win championships and they want Bo Nix in Denver for the long term, the primary focus was on the team's future stadium. Greg stated the organization is making some progress on a new stadium at Burnham Yard, but needed more collaboration from entities that are out of their control. On Monday, the Broncos officially bought the SRM concrete plot of land, so that was in their control, that's taken care of, but they need help from entities that are not in their control. He said the goal is to open the new stadium for the 2031 season, and he made it clear that Burnham Yard is still the preferred site for the future stadium, but they have not removed that preferred part yet. He says, but we really want to keep it in Denver if we can. So putting some more pressure on Denver to get this thing done, so that this can be the official site of the Broncos future stadium. And the organization is, quote, not there yet when it comes to releasing stadium renderings. Greg Penner also stated that the organization hasn't even got around to thinking about PSLs. Of course, this comes just 10 days after the president of the team, Domani Leach, said that it's pretty likely that PSLs will be a part of the new Broncos stadium. Greg Penner says, we haven't even thought about that yet. So maybe there could be good news for the PSLs, for Broncos fans, that that won't happen. But that's a wait and see right now. Now let's dive into what happened on the field today. And before I tell you, make sure to hit us with a thumbs up. Subscribe to this channel. We appreciate all of the support that we get from every single one of you.
And the defense comes through at the end of practice. Broncos offensive defense each had their wins through the first two team periods of Tuesday's practice. It started with a Riley Moss pass breakup on a crossing route by Cortland Sutton from Bo Nix. Great coverage, great play by Riley. Then Bo Nix had his first completion during team period. It was a 15-yard touchdown pass to none other than Pat Bryant. Patty Ice getting a touchdown there. Riley Moss was in good coverage. But Bo led Pat perfectly and Pat made a great catch in the end zone.
