All right, there's this amazing book called Getting Everything You Can Out of All You've Got. I read it a few years ago and it changed my life.
And the reason I loved it was because it basically talks about how to get and make more money using things that you already have. Coincidentally, today's podcast is brought to you by Business Made Simple. It's a podcast by Donald Miller, who I'm gonna tell you about in a second, but he has this amazing episode that's all related to this book and the things that I learned in this book. It's called How To Make Money With What You Already Have. It's an incredible episode. Talks about all the stuff that I learned in this book. The host is Donald Miller. I didn't know who Donald Miller was up until recently, but over the last 12 months, this is totally by coincidence. It was all separate people. They said you have to check out Donald Miller. He's amazing. So I'm happy that he's part of HubSpot's Podcast Network. You can check it out, Business Made Simple Podcast. It's where he coaches you on how to build your business like an airplane, where the cockpit is your leadership, the body is your overhead, the right engine is your marketing, the left engine is your sales. You have to check it out. This guy's amazing. It's called Business Made Simple with Donald Miller.
This is kind of like a movie, right? So like guy builds huge tech company, becomes billionaire, has life changing accident, changes everything, gives it all up.
You've never met Shaan, right?
No.

If you say something you don't like, you could just fire Sam, and that pretty much takes care of the whole thing.
**Brian Halligan** (1:36)
I love that. I've always wanted to fire Sam.
**Sam Parr** (1:42)
Okay, so you listen to the first episode, the very first episode, or just like a random episode?
**Brian Halligan** (1:47)
I ripped through like a couple of little random things. I heard you guys talking about the Wright brothers and some random shit.
**Sam Parr** (1:55)
Okay, and from that random stumble, describe what you heard. What kind of podcast is this?
**Brian Halligan** (2:02)
It's a podcast for entrepreneurs to get inspiration and ideas.
Yeah, it sounds like it sounds, by the way, I'm not being condescending. I thought it sounded great. What I heard is sounding great. Kind of like something I would listen to.
**Sam Parr** (2:16)
That's what I was gonna ask you. Is this something you would have, earlier in your entrepreneurial career? Yes. Because now you're Mr. I've made it.
You don't need that inspirational juice anymore, or maybe you do, I don't know.
**Brian Halligan** (2:30)
Yeah, there are enough inspirational juice. Look, he doesn't listen to podcasts like our Shaan, he just buys them.
**Sam Parr** (2:38)
Yeah, most people listen, I purchase.
**Brian Halligan** (2:41)
So one thing we, I don't know what you plan on talking about, but one thing we could talk about that might be interesting is my snowmobile accident.
Yeah, so like we're live now, so we're recording now. So yes, we could do it. So what we'll do, I'll ask you about that. I wanna know about that. And then also we're gonna talk to you about some different business ideas. And I've got a few that I wanna ask your opinion on, but so-
**Sam Parr** (3:06)
Let me do the super short intro. This is Brian Halligan. He's the CEO, you were the CEO of HubSpot, now the chairman or exec chairman or something very fancy like that.
**Brian Halligan** (3:15)
Something fancy like that, yes. And you basically like, I think like two weeks, so basically HubSpot bought the Hustle My Company and like two weeks after, you got into a really bad accident, right? Yeah. And you like broke like a dozen bones. I mean, it was pretty serious.
Yeah, I was like, I hope Brian's okay, but also I was like, if this deal, if this would have happened like two weeks before the deal closed, I wonder if that would have changed anything. Yeah, because I was a big proponent of the deal. I was really happy we did it.
I tell you the whole story. I'm just going to go. I was snowmobiling up in Vermont with my son, Luke, and we were, we were right, we were right in the middle of nowhere. Right square in the middle of nowhere. And we were cruising along and he was, he was cruising along. And I asked him to slow down. He just kind of got confused between the gas and the brake.
