Half the Patriot roster seems like it's hurt, but you're saying you think Gonzalez is back for this game. Best cornerback in football, some people say. So that obviously is unfortunate for the Jets in the passing game. Which means he's going to guard Garrett Wilson, I assume, right?

Or first came back, do they put him against somebody else? That would be an interesting little coaching session.

Well, I mean, he held out and got it. Yeah, he deserves it. And we'll see, AJ. Brown as well could be back into the passing game. Quarterback has found himself over the last couple weeks. They do have a tendency to roll against bad teams. The question is, are the Jets a bad team? Yeah. I mean, because they have rolled last year, so far this year. Like if they, the difference is the Jets have had a good defense.

Last year, the New England Patriots did not play a single top 10 defense the entire season, regular season.

Right? And we saw what they did. Then they went into the playoffs, played better defenses. We saw what they did. The last two weeks, the Bills are at the bottom of the league in defense, put up big numbers.

Raiders bottom of the league defense, they put up big numbers. Jets top five defense. Can the Jets continue on the trend where they dominate bad defenses but struggle against good ones?

Glenn played a phenomenal defensive scheme this past weekend, which is something we've never seen before. I don't know if he did it because of the bad weather, because I don't know if you noticed, he had four of the best defense events in at one time.

He had McDonald lined up like an inside linebacker, and they're getting sacks all over the place. So I don't know if that would be effective up in New England in good weather.

Craig Carton (3:32)

Well, I'll tell you what. What's interesting about that is, the Cleveland Browns did a lousy job protecting Deshaun Watson last weekend. I think you have to give the Jets credit for that as well. The amount of pressure they put on, where the pressure came from, etc. Obviously, Bailey had the crazy game, etc. The good news for the Jets is that the Patriots offensive line is also not healthy either. Will Campbell is starting to have tackles out for this game. One of the player might be playing, but is banged up. So again, you have seen to his credit, now that he's calling the defense, and as he said, it seemingly is his superpower. The New York Jets defense has played well in every game this year. Now, if there's one game I thought they were weaker at, it was actually the Lions game, not the Bears game. Because the Bears had the ball so long, you could make an argument, well, the Jets didn't do a good enough job getting off the field, but they got turnovers.
