Hi friends, welcome back. My guest today is Amanda Kuda, and we are talking about the dating market in 2020 Finding a partner that you're happy with is challenging. Add on layers of Tinder, Instagram, drunken dates and rebound sex, and it's pretty amazing that anyone manages to get into a relationship. So today, expect to learn Amanda's best exercises to truly identify your type, how to find a partner who is genuinely good for you, the cheat codes for a great first date, why you keep falling for the same type of bad partners, tips for Tinder effectiveness and much more. Also, if you are new here or even if you're a long time listener, don't forget to check if you have hit the subscribe button. That is the only way that you'll be notified when new episodes drop every Monday, Thursday and Saturday at the moment. The schedule doesn't stop. It is unrelenting right now. Hit the subscribe button, go and do it. It would make me very, very happy indeed. Obviously, if you've got friends that are awful daters and completely hopeless singletons, probably be a good idea to send this to them as well. In other news, this episode of the podcast is brought to you by Surfshark VPN. Within the space of five minutes from now, you could have secured all of your browsing online and have access to the entire world's Netflix library. You have watched everything on your domestic Netflix channel and it is time to expand your views across the globe so that you can watch everything that is in America, all the Marvel films, all of the American series, and probably a bunch of anime and stuff from Japan as well. I honestly would not use Netflix without it now, and it's literally as simple as downloading an app. You think, getting a VPN is going to be really difficult. It's not. It's just download an app, select your location, and then begin watching whatever's on Netflix in that place. Plus, hackers and websites are not tracking your movements, so you're not getting split tested on prices or having your data tracked. Head to surfshark.deals.mdw for 85% off, three months free, and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Surfshark.deals.mdw, 30-day money-back guarantee, 85% off, and three months free. But for now, it's time for the wise and wonderful Amanda Kuda.
What are we saying about the combination of blue blocking glasses and moustache at the moment?
**Amanda Kuda** (2:39)
They're great, it's good. I like the look, definitely it's good.
**Chris Williamson** (2:44)
That's how you-
**Amanda Kuda** (2:44)
What kind of blue blockers are those?
**Chris Williamson** (2:46)
That's how I want to start a podcast. I want to start a podcast with bare faced lies that are also compliments at the same time.
**Amanda Kuda** (2:54)
It's a compliment, but I'm like, how would I respond if I saw you in the real world and didn't know you? You're just some guy out on the street, and I'm passing you and you have the whole this look going on.
**Chris Williamson** (3:06)
I think I look great. Someone said that it was a little bit of a Freddie Mercury sort of thing going on with the mustache and the glasses. I thought a bit cooler than that. I thought like Oasis maybe, but it doesn't matter. They're Raw Optics, so Matt Meruka, the guy from Raw Optics will be on soon, CEO and creator of The Light Diet.
In Podcastland, that may have come out before this or after this. It's like pick and mix. Listeners don't know what they're going to get. What are we going to talk about today?
**Amanda Kuda** (3:38)
We're going to talk about, you've had a couple of episodes about dating in the modern world, but they didn't have a lot of tips. Like how do you actually become a modern dater? How do you actually do the thing? I just want to jam on what are some practical slash maybe a little out there things that you could be doing that are going to give you a like leg up in the market?
**Chris Williamson** (3:57)
A leg up being both metaphorical and physical.
**Amanda Kuda** (4:01)
Yes, exactly.
**Chris Williamson** (4:03)
I love it. I put a post up a little while ago, I think before we knew each other, at the start of this year that said, true love in 2020 is finding someone that you could date sober.
**Amanda Kuda** (4:15)
Yes.
**Chris Williamson** (4:15)
Do you think that's true?
**Amanda Kuda** (4:17)
Oh, my goodness. 100 percent. I mean, you know that I don't drink and that for me is a lifestyle. I don't see any situation where I'll go back to it. I know that you say that you might do it every now and then, right? Toggle back and forth. But I don't see anywhere where it adds to my life and especially in dating, I have seen as a dater where it completely detracts from the situation.
